song - deep end (birdy)

"I don't know if you mean everything to me, and I wonder can I give you what you need? Don't want to find I've lost it all, too scared to have no one to call."

The sun slowly rose over Boston, a bright orange light painting the sky and signaling that it was the start of a new day. Inside her hotel room, Katherine was laying down on her bed, the exhaustion she felt from all the performances was weighing her down.

She knew that she would have to get up sooner or later. But as she pressed the snooze button for what had to be the tenth time, Katherine could not seem to care. She rolled over on the mattress, her cheek pressing up against her pillow.

That day they would all have dress rehearsals and thankfully there would be no performance, which meant that Katherine would be able to rest up. Still, the mere thought of getting out of bed was incredibly unappealing to her.

When her alarm sounded once more, Katherine rolled over to see that it was now eight in the morning. Knowing that she would have to be at practice at nine, Katherine reluctantly sat up in her bed and turned off her alarm.

A yawn ripped through her, making Katherine close her eyes and lean her head back on the headboard of her bed. Her eyes snapped open once more when a knock sounded out across her room.

"Who is it?" Katherine groaned, still unmoving from her bed.

"It's Aaron," she heard "open the door."

"No," Katherine yelled, "it's too early."

"I have coffee" Aaron yelled back.

Immediately, Katherine's ears pricked up. So, she quickly made her way out of bed, not even having realized that she was still in her pajamas, and when she did realize it, she was too tired to care.

Upon opening the door, she was faced with a smiling Aaron, who was already dressed and ready for rehearsal. She watched as his eyes ran over her figure before she looked back up at her. Brushing past her, he sat himself down on the edge of her bed and stared at her as she neared closer to him.

  "Good morning" he greeted.

Katherine hummed in reply before she took the cup of coffee from his hands and climbed back onto the bed. Settling herself under the covers, she took a sip of her coffee, instantly feeling more awake before she turned to him with a sleepy smile.
