Katherine was sitting on the subway, scrolling through her phone to pass the time. Just as they had discussed, Aaron had called her early on in the day, inviting her to go and walk Miles with him. She had quickly gotten dressed and headed out the door, telling him that she would meet him at his place in a while.
Later on in the day, she had also promised Bianca and Callum that they would go over to her house and sleepover. Of course, Katherine was sure that sooner or later, Bianca would just sneak off in the middle of the night to see Charles. Still, that meant that she would not be able to spend as much time with Aaron as she wanted.
When the subway doors opened, Katherine quickly walked out, securing her bag on her shoulder and making her way onto the streets. Texting Aaron to let him know that she was almost there, Katherine walked along the pavement and tried to get to his house as soon as possible.
Truth be told, she was incredibly tired. After all, she had spent most of the night up watching television, something that seemed like a good idea at the time. And considering the fact that she had woken up at eight in the morning to Aaron's call, Katherine was finding it hard to drag her body across the street.
When she finally got to Aaron's apartment, Katherine quickly made her way to his front door. After patting down her hair to make sure that the wind had not ruined it, Katherine locked on his door, waiting patiently for him to open it.
When it did, Katherine was immediately jumped on by Miles. She fell to her knees on the floor and smiled brightly as she saw the dog in front of her. Bringing her hand up to Miles' head, Katherine made quick work of petting the dog.
"Hey Miles" she grinned "I've missed you pal!"
"I'm here too you know" Aaron spoke up.
Katherine quickly lifted herself off the ground and walked through Aaron's front door, making sure to close it behind her. Turning back to him, Katherine smiled brightly and leaned up to press a kiss on his cheek.
"That's all I get?" Aaron asked with a smirk.
"You woke me up early," she mumbled, grinning mischievously at him.
