Katherine woke up to the smell of coffee. She slowly lifted her head up from the sheets, blowing her hair out of her eyes and adjusting to the light. Callum had invited her and Aaron over to his apartment last night for game night.

Bianca and Charles had gone as well, and just like they expected, they ended up drinking a bit too much. Since Callum lived closer to Aaron than to Katherine, the couple had gone to Aaron's apartment to sleep.

Katherine could feel a headache coming on and she glanced over to the nightstand to see that Aaron had left her some Advil and a glass of water. She silently thanked him in her head before taking the pill and downing the water.

Slowly standing up from the bed, she looked around for something to wear and quickly threw on her underwear and Aaron's button-up shirt from last night. After that, she stumbled out of Aaron's bedroom to see that he was peacefully standing in his kitchen.

She had to resist the blush from coming onto her face as she saw that he was only wearing sweatpants. Before she could blush too hard, she looked over his shoulder to see that he was making something, her brows furrowing as she walked closer.

She could see Miles laying down on the floor out of the corner of her eye and Katherine shot the dog a small smile, watching proudly as he wagged his tail at her.

"Whatcha making?" she asked, grinning when she saw how he jumped at her voice.

"I thought you were still asleep," Aaron breathed out with a small smile.

"I was," she spoke softly, walking over to the counter and jumping on top of it "but then I smelt some coffee, so- here I am."

"I had a feeling that the coffee was gonna wake you up," he laughed, handing her a cup of the warm drink.

"So, what are you making?" she asked again.

"Pancakes," Aaron answered with a small smile, heading over to the pan and placing the now-ready pancakes on two plates for them.

"My favorite," Katherine grinned, taking the plate from his hands.

"Did you see the Advil that I left for you?" Aaron asked as he leaned against the counter and started eating his food.
