Two days later, Katherine was sitting inside her apartment. The correct description for what she was feeling at the moment could be summed up in one word, bored. She was unbelievably bored, so much so, that sitting and staring at the wall seemed like the best thing to do.

Just like she had asked, Aaron had given her some space. During this time, she had thought back to the fight they had, trying to put herself in Aaron's shoes. She was convinced that she would be more trusting than he was.

But at the same time, she couldn't put it past herself to act jealous if some woman was texting Aaron and asking him to go out. The bottom line here was, they were stuck in a place where they weren't officially together, but they also weren't single.

And to be frank, Katherine was quite tired of it. Sure, it had been fun at first, the whole idea of casual dating, with no expectations, no pressure. It seemed like a dream at first. But now, she wanted to be able to call herself his girlfriend, and she didn't want to have petty arguments over it anymore.

She could hear her friends inside the apartment next door. Charles had invited them all to hang out at his place. But Katherine had been so lost in thought that she wasn't in the mood, so she simply said that she had some work calls to take care of.

Deciding that she was done sulking around over something that could easily be solved, Katherine stood up from her couch and walked into her bedroom. Taking her phone from where it had been charging, she quickly called the number she wanted.

"Kate?" she heard Aaron's voice on the other line once he picked up.

"Hey" she smiled, glad that he wasn't angry at her, or at least, he didn't seem angry "what are you doing?"

"Not much," Aaron answered slowly "why?"

"Could you come over?" she asked "I want to talk to you."

"Talk?" Aaron asked, trying to mask the worry laced in his voice "about what?"

"It's not bad" Katherine replied quielty "at least, I don't think it is"

"Alright," he said "I'll be there in thirty minutes"

Hanging up the phone, Katherine threw herself back down on her bed with a small smile. She tried to rehearse exactly what she wanted to say, but she knew that she would get nervous either way.
