Two weeks had passed since the closing night in Boston. Katherine had been keeping herself busy with walks around New York and a few interviews and meeting with her manager. She had also done a solo photoshoot to let more people know about Moulin Rouge, in hopes of getting it on broadway.
Based on what John and Alex had told her, things had been going well with getting the show on broadway. The reviews had been nothing short of spectacular and Katherine was immensely proud of herself and those working with her.
Still, in those two weeks, Aaron had not yet talked to her. Due to the fact that they had not had any rehearsal, the pair had not seen one another. And to say Katherine was missing him would be an understatement. She wished that they could just talk and have fun as they used to before all these feelings messed everything up.
But at the same time, she knew that just being friends was not an option anymore. He meant too much to her. She replayed their last argument over and over in her head. Katherine came to the conclusion that he had been right about one thing, they weren't just friends. But if she knew it, and he knew it, why was everything still so complicated?
As for Aaron, he had been sulking more than he should. Every time his phone lit up, he would desperately reach for it, only to see that it was anyone but her. He beat himself up over how he had yelled at her that day, how he had told her to forget about everything between them. And now it seemed like she had done just that.
Their friends had been able to tell that something was odd with the two of them. For Aaron, it had been Ricky. The man had asked over and over again if anything was wrong.
And when he and Aaron were talking on the phone one day, Ricky had asked about Katherine. The way Aaron's voice changed to a pained one at the mention of her answered all of Rickys questions. He didn't know what was happening between the two of them, but he could tell that something was not right.
Bianca and Callum had also tried to talk to Katherine. They encouraged her time and time again to just call Aaron. At the start, they had both been angry at Aaron for hurting Katherine's feelings. But as they saw how upset she seemed as time went on, they both ultimately decided that being with Aaron was the only thing that would fully help Katherine.
