"So you arranged this little rendezvous in order to audition your new show for me?" Tam said his lines "hoping I would invest?"

"Nailed it in one!" said Katherine, all dressed up in her Satine costume.

"Well, what's the story of your show?" asked Tam.

"Oh, the story! Ah! Yes, uh" Danny spoke his lines, sitting Tam down on a chair.

"There'll be," Aaron started singing "lovers."

  "And singers" Katherine sang.

  "And entrepreneurs" added Danny.

  "Depravity" sang Ricky.

  "Ecstasy" Sahr sang.

"Love that endures" Aarons's voice sounded.

"Worthy of even the best rock on tour, a tale in the shadows of dear sacré-coeur" Sahr added, everyone turning to follow his line of vision as they turned quiet for a moment. They could hear some people in the audience laughing lightly, making Katherine feel proud that they seemed to be enjoying it.

"We! See! Along the seine, upon its filthy shore, the bloated corpses of those, killed the night before"

"But it's a family show" Danny sang "with art both high and lows"

  "A tale of love"

  "And death"

  "And sex"

  "And money!"

  "Dancing and away we go,"

"Sweet Satine who plays our ingenue" Sahr sang as Katherine moved along the stage "A sparrow singing up and down each avenue"

"She wears a thin black dress" Katherine sang, wrapping a shawl around her head and looking out at the audience "and tells a tale of woe, of pain and loneliness"

"But that's not all, as these things go! She's rather sick," Sahr sang as Katherine faked coughs "with some obscure malaise, no doubt a crueler trick from wilder desperate days"
