More than a month had passed. Aaron and Katherine were still seeing each other, although there was no mention of labels yet. Secretly, they both wondered how long it would take for them to be actually official, but they stayed quiet about it.

They had also refrained from telling anyone about their relationship, and that part, Katherine liked. It felt great to just be able to see one another with no outsider's expectations for them.

It was now late afternoon in New York City, Katherine and Aaron were lazing about her apartment. Katherine was laying her feet on his lap as they sat on the couch, a book in her hands.

Suddenly, her phone lit up, indicating that someone was sending her a message. Furrowing her brows, she lifted herself up and took her phone in her hands before sitting back down on the couch.  Aaron simply looked at her for a moment before he placed his hands atop her ankles once more and went back to using his phone.

Katherine glanced down at her phone and her breath hitched in her throat when she saw who was texting her. She glanced up at Aaron to see that he seemed distracted before she opened the messages.

Finn

Hey!

I have some work in New York and I was wondering if you wanted to hang out?

I'll be here for two days.

She bit her lip and shut her phone, deciding not to answer him yet. Although she was already sure that she wasn't going to hang out with him, she still thought it best to tell Aaron about it. After all, Finn seemed to be a sort of sore subject for him.

However, she didn't quite know how to approach the subject. Things had been going so well between them, and she was scared that this would potentially ruin it.

But, before she could say anything, Aaron stood up from the couch, making her legs fly off his lap. She followed him as he headed over to his wallet, taking it in his hands before he looked back at her.

"Pizza's here," he told her "I'll be right back"

Katherine nodded her head silently and watched as he left her apartment. She decided that she would tell him once dinner was over. After all, she wanted to enjoy the pizza with him if they were to get into an argument later on.
