Chapter Forty: Extra!!! Extra!!!

The first week of august approached fast and everyone became bored being inside all summer. Phoenix tried reaching out to her dad but he was too busy with work to write back. Amos has been hurting and ignoring everyone and Phoenix has never felt more alone in her life. She says a few sentences here and there but some days Phoenix is absolutely silent. One morning Phoenix woke up and Sirius and molly we're whispering to each other. Phoenix looked at them confused and when she sat down and took the daily prophet from Sirius she gasped and now knew why they were whispering. Sirius watched his niece eyes sadden as she read the top page.

"No don't!!!"

Cedric diggory death ruled a tragic accident

After a terrible accident occurred in may at hogwarts witchcraft and wizardry the triwizard tournament turned into a blood bath. After 17 year old Cedric tragically passed away during the final task everyone is asking how? Today Dolores umbrigde apartment of the ministry of magic declared Cedric diggory's death a tragic accident and not murdered. Albus Dumbledore and Harry Potter (the boy who lived) are spreading rumours stating you-know-who has returned everyone is calling them a liars. May Cedric diggory rest easy. -Rita skeeter

Phoenix slammed the paper on to the table and walked away from the table without saying a word. Sirius sighed and everyone saw the front page Fred looked upstairs worried about how Phoenix was doing in her room. Phoenix sat on her windowsill clenched onto her blue flannel as she sobbed. She knew her brother was murder and it wasn't an accident she felt betrayed, angry. Phoenix grabbed a vase sitting on the nightstand and threw it at the wall and it broke. Phoenix cried and felt her blood boil she jumped off the windowsill and wrapped herself up under her silk blankets and cried. Fred went upstairs to check on Phoenix when Fred opened the door he heard soft cries and sniffles. Fred walked over and laid down beside Phoenix he saw tear stains on her pillows and tears streaming down her face. Fred knew she was broken he pulled her into his chest and rubbed her back gently, Phoenix's eyes fluttered opened letting another tear drop escape she looked up and saw Fred leaning his head against her head softly. Phoenix nuzzled her head into crook of his neck and let out a shaky breath. Fred kissed her forehead softly and whipped her tears away

"You don't deserve any of this" Fred whispered softly Phoenix clenched onto his shirt and hid her face as she let out another sob Fred tried soothing her and held her close as she cried and wondering why this has happened to her? What did she do?. Sirius sat at Phoenix's door as padfoot this big black dog and he could hear his niece crying and her love trying to help her. Molly saw padfoot laying by the door and smiled softly as he waited for Fred to come out.

"He cares dearly for her" molly smiled padfoot looked at molly and wiggled his tail a bit. An hour later Fred walked out of Phoenix's room looking sad and tired he looked down at padfoot and smiled.

"Reckon you want to see her" Fred chuckled softly padfoot barked and nudged Fred's hand in Sirius's way of saying thank you.

"She's asleep so go on" Fred whispered as he let the black dog in and shut the door quietly. Fred headed downstairs and saw Ron sitting at the bottom of the stairs looking gloomy.

"What's up Ronkins?" Fred asked Ron looked up at his brother with glossy eyes and sighed

"How is she? Fred I'm truly worried about her and I'm scared I'm going to lose her" Ron said Fred sat down beside his brother and put his hand on Ron's shoulder.

"She misses you I hope you know" Fred said

"Really?"
