Chapter 6 - Coming to terms with it all

After that awkward conversation Mallory left in a hurry. Leaving Mouch standing there unable to move due to shock
"Are you even old enough to have a 21 year old?" Kelly shouts from across the app floor
"I don't know" Mouch says still staring into space
Mouch then walks into the bunk room with all of the colour drained out his face. The first thing he does is call Trudy
"Hello" Trudy says as she answers
"Why didn't you tell me?" Mouch asks panicking slightly
"I didn't know she was gonna end up at the district" Trudy answers
"I still had the right to know! I have a daughter that has grew up not knowing who I am for the past 21 years!" Mouch shouts
"Look! I've gotta go! But I'll talk to you later about this whole mess" Trudy says before hanging up
Mouch sits back on the bed and runs a hand nervously through his hair.
It's later that night and Mouch has just arrived home, he takes a deep breath before walking into his house. When he walks in he discovers Trudy sitting on the couch waiting for his arrival
"I owe you an explanation" Trudy says as she pats the seat next to her
Trudy fills Mouch in on everything and I mean everything. From the day she got pregnant to the day she gave Mallory up
"Why didn't you tell me?" Mouch asks looking Trudy dead in the eye
"I knew you weren't ready to be a dad! You were too focused on becoming a firefighter! And I wasn't ready to become a mom!" Trudy says hand in hand with Mouch
"Now what do we do? We have a daughter!" Mouch says
"Get to know her?" Trudy says as she smiles
And that's exactly what they did. Over the next 2 and a half months Mouch and Trudy made it their mission to get to know their daughter. Mallory is being introduced to the firehouse today and she has just arrived
"Hey Mal!" Mouch says as he hugs her
"Hey!" Mallory says as she hugs him back
"Come on! I'll introduce you to everyone!" Mouch says as he guides her into the common room
"Is this who I think it is?" Herrmann says looking at Mallory
"This is Mallory...My..." Mouch says not quite sure what to say
"His daughter" Mallory says smiling
Mouch smiles at her before Herrmann walks over
"That's what you call smoking hot!" Cruz whispers
"You can say that again" Otis replies
"Please! You armatures don't have a chance! Watch and learn boys!" Kelly says as he stands up and walks towards Mallory
"Hey!" Kelly says as he smiles
"Oh hey! Your the squad Luitenent right?" Malloy says as he laughs
"Yeah! Kelly nice to meet you!" Kelly says as he shakes her hand
Out of the corner of his eye he can see Mouch giving him the side eye.
"I'm Mallory!" Mallory says as she smiles
"Uh huh" Kelly says before walking away and sitting back down
"That was your big plan?" Cruz says as he laughs
"Mouch looked like he was gonna kill me!" Kelly replies
"It's mouch! He can't even run from here to the briefing room!" Otis replies
"Shut up!" Kelly says slightly embarrassed
