It's later that night and Mallory is sitting in bed watching tv with shay.
"You kept this one quiet" Mallory says as she looks at the ring
"Couldn't ruin the surprise now could I?" Shay says as Kelly walks in
"Hey!" Kelly says as he climbs into bed with them
Mallory scoots over and Kelly sits next to shay
"This means that me and Mal are practically family now" Kelly says as he smiles
"Not quite" Mallory says as she smiles
"Yeah well it's Kelly you have to thank for tonight" Shay says as she rests her head on Kelly's shoulder
"Is that so?" Mallory asks smiling
"Yep! I was gonna do it at that snail restaurant but backed out. This guys the one who set up the rest" Shay says as she looks at Kelly
"Well thank you Luitenent!" Mallory replies
"No problem detective" Kelly adds
"Yall are weird, you gonna start calling me PIC now?" Shay asks as she shoots them both a look
"Hey that's got a nice ring to it" Kelly says as shay hits his stomach
It's the next morning and Mallory is officially back to work. She is making herself some coffee when shay stumbles out of bed
"Morning sunshine" Mallory says as she smiles
"How long have you been up?" Shay asks groggily
"About an hour?" Mallory says as she passes her a cup of coffee
"Why didn't you wake me!" Shay replies
"Because your not on shift today!" Mallory adds as she grabs her bag
Mallory gives shay a goodbye kiss and walks out. She drives to work and walks in
"I'm back bitches!" Mallory shouts as everyone runs over to her
"Welcome back partner!" Antonio says as he gives her a hug
"Welcome back miss Davis or should I say soon to be Mrs shay?" Jay says as he hugs her
"I've not even thought about a wedding yet! One thing at a time boys!" Mallory says as she hugs the rest of them
Mallory sits down and quickly notices that Erin isn't there
"I thought Erin got back from New York?" Mallory says as she looks at Jay
"Oh yeah, you weren't here" Adam adds as everyone looks at Jay
Jay falls silent for a second thinking about what he's going to say
"She's not coming back" Jay says bluntly
"What! What do you mean?" Mallory asks
"She's staying in New York! Left us all behind!" Jay yells before getting up and walking out
"He's still not over it" Kevin adds
"I wouldn't be either! They were together for what 5 years? I would never forgive shay if she did that" Mallory adds before getting back to work
