"I'm feeling so much better! I just can't wait you get outta this place!" Mallory says as she smiles
"One thing at a time" Shay says smiling
"Miss Davis!" The doctor says
"Dr.Miller!" Mallory says smiling
"I have some Umm news to tell you, do you want to be alone for it?" Dr.Miller says looking at shay
"No she can stay" Mallory says confused
Dr.Miller sits down and Mallory looks at Shay who already knows where this conversation is going
"Due to the extent of your shoulder injury, we don't think you'll be able to return to active duty" Dr.Miller says as Mallory can feel the colour drain out of her face
"What?" Mallory says with tears forming in her eyes
"So as we all know your a cop, a detective even. There's no way your shoulder can handle that type of pressure" Dr.Miller says as Mallory turns to shay
"Wake me up please" Mallory says
"What honey?" Shay replies as she wipes a tear from Mallory's face
"Tell me this is some messed up dream! And that I'll wake up and everything will be normal!" Mallory says whilst sobbing
"I'm sorry baby, I really am" Shay says as she pulls Mallory into a hug
Dr.Miller slips out and Mallory cries in shay's arms. It's later that night and the unit have dropped by to see Mallory
"Hey you!" Jay says smiling
"Hey Davis!" Kevin and Adam say
But Mallory doesn't reply
"How's our favourite detective?" Adam asks
"I might not be a detective for much longer" Mallory adds staring at the wall
"What do you mean?" Kevin asks as he looks at the rest of the unit
"The doctor told me there's a chance I might not be able to return to active duty" Mallory adds
Mallory takes one look at the unit and immediately starts to sob
"Hey it's okay" Antonio says as he rubs the back of her hand
"He's ruined everything! My job! My life!" Mallory shouts
"I know he has, he's going down for it" Antonio says as he gives her a hug
"He doesn't deserve to live!" Mallory shouts
"You can't let him have the easy way out" Jay adds secretly raging
Maya and Mike then walk in
"Sweetheart!" Maya says as she rushes over to Mallory
"I can't be a cop anymore Maya" Mallory sobs
"There is still a chance" Jay says
"When has luck ever been on my side Jay? Huh? Never!" Mallory shouts
Mallory sobs for the rest of the night and Jay drives down to the jail that's holding John...
