Mallory is driving home. She can't wait to tell her news to shay. She is stoped at a stop sign when she sees a family walking by. The family consists of a mom, a dad and 2 beautiful little girls. The mother is clearly pregnant. Mallory smiles at the as they walk by. She then can see a car dive past her at a fast pace. Slowing down next to the family and shooting them. The mother gets hit and so does their youngest daughter
"Shit!" Mallory shouts as she gets out with her gun in hand
"Get down!" Mallory shouts as everyone follows her instructions
The car speeds off and Mallory grabs her phone
"911 what's your emergency?" The operator asks
"This is detective Mallory Davis. I have a shooting on West Hollywood street. I need you to roll an ambo and the intelligence unit. I have a pregnant lady shot in the lower back and a 8 year old shot in the leg. Shooters are heading down rose bank avenue in a black SUV" Mallory orders
"Copy that detective" The operator says
Mallory bends down to help the family
"Take off your shirt and apply pressure with it on your daughters leg" Mallory orders
"How can we trust you?" The man asks
"My badge is literally in my car! But your daughters probably not going to be alive by the time you get to it!" Mallory says as she assesses the woman
She takes off her jacket( Which just so happens to be a CPD one) and places it on the mother's wound. The man does the same to his daughter. Mallory can see Antonio and Jays car roll up with ambos behind them. The paramedics come running over and take over. The blood is smeared all over her hands and top.
"Mal!" Antonio shouts as they run over
"Your not meant to be working!" Jay adds
"It's in the contract! If you see a crime offence whilst off duty you've gotta help!" Mallory adds
"But your not off duty!" Antonio states
"Oh is this a good time to say that I got cleared?" Mallory adds as they walk back to Mallory's car
"What! No way!" Antonio says enthusiastically
"Well done Mal! We knew you could do it!" Jay says smiling
"Yeah well I beat the system! If anyone tells you that you can't return to active duty then send them to me!" Mallory says as she laughs
"You better get home" Jay says
"And shower" Antonio adds looking at her hands
"Thanks guys...Just give me an update" Mallory says as she looks at the broken family
"Will do" Antonio says before planting a kiss on her cheek
Mallory gets in her car and sighs
"It's good to be back" Mallory says smiling
