Chapter 61 - Why'd you do it?

Mallory gets home later that night, her and shay are still on bad terms.
"You going out?" Mallory asks
"Yeah, just round to Casey and Dawson's" Kelly says as he picks up Lucas
"Why are you touching my stuff?" Mallory laughs
"Kelly where the hell are my keys!?" Shay yells as she runs down stairs
"Oh yeah forgot to mention, you two are going to work this thing out whether you like it or not. Goodnight ladies" Kelly says as he rushes out the door
"Kelly!" Shay yells but Kelly was already gone
"I'm only doing it for Kelly" Shay sighs
"Oh and you think I was doing it for you?" Mallory yells
Mallory and shay sit across from each other on the couch
"Why did you do it? Was it me?" Mallory asks
"It wasn't you god I hated myself for what I put you through" Shay explains
"Why then?" Mallory asks
"I was pissed. At myself, at you, at Upton. I just thought you know she was the star, the pretty one, has a great job, you work alongside her everyday. What was I to that? Someone who got to you first? Someone who was waiting to be cheated on" Shay explains
"I was loyal! That's my argument! After everything we had been through! From the wedding venue being shot up to me not being able to return to work. I dunno, I thought you would never do something like that" Mallory explains
"I know, I'm really sorry Mal" Shay says
"Do you have any idea what effect that had on me?! I nearly lost my job! I went on a complete bender! God I was hooking up with ex cons and everything. You literally broke me and there's no putting that lightly" Mallory explains
"I know I did, honestly looking back I would have just came and spoke to you. I loved you Mallory, more than I think I've loved anyone" Shay says
"Loved being the key word in that sentence, we would have never of worked out shay" Mallory says
"You don't know that! We can try again! We thought of having a kid together Mallory! We can give Lucas the perfect home!" Shay says as she smiles
"Shay" Mallory mutters
"Come on Mal!" Shay says
"I don't know" Mallory mutters...

A little boy like my new blood, one family series however it won't be as big as that! This book has so much more potential and is an absolute joy to write!
