Chapter 48 - Keeping it on the down low

It's a month later and Mallory and Antonio have been secretly dating. They've been keeping everything on the down low. They don't walk in together nor leave together. They just stay strictly partners at work.
"When are we going to tell the district?" Antonio asks as he smiles
"We can't! It's still to early!" Mallory explains as they sit down on a bench overlooking Chicago
"I know but I wanna show you off" Antonio says as he kisses her forehead
"Your cute but I'm not caving" Mallory explains as she kisses him
"Can we at least tell the kids?" Antonio asks
"It's only been a month Antonio, I don't want things to get messed up if we don't work out" Mallory explains
"They already see you as auntie Mallory! Nothing is going to change that" Antonio explains as Mallory jumps off of him
"Get up!" Mallory mutters
"Huh?" Antonio asks, confused
"Hey Kev!" Mallory says enthusiastically
"Right, hey!" Antonio says as he jumps up
"What you guys doing? It's kinda late?" Kevin adds as Adam appears next to him
"Oh my god it's double kill" Mallory mutters
"Why are you guys out so late?" Adam asks
"Uhm.." Antonio mutters
"Patrol!" Mallory yells
"Yep! We're covering for 2 of the officers!" Mallory explains
"Uh huh? And what are those officers names?" Adam asks, looking Mallory up and down
"Lawson and Havis" Antonio mutters
"The officers names are Lawson and Havis?" Kevin adds
"That's right!" Mallory says smiling
"So Dawson and Davis are covering for Lawson and Havis?" Adam checks
"Uh huh" Antonio hesitates
"Right well you two have a good night now" Kevin adds before they walk away
"Lawson and Havis?" Mallory yells as she hits Antonio
"I was put on the spot!" Antonio argues
"Your a cop for god sake!" Mallory says as she sits down
"Maybe that's our cue to tell everyone?" Antonio adds as he sits down next to her
"I'm still not cracking" Mallory adds as Antonio laughs
It's the next morning and Mallory has just arrived at work, she sits down at her desk when she notices Adam staring at her
"Problem?" Mallory asks
"How was Lawson and Havis last night?" He asks
"Uhm I wouldn't know, I didn't see them!" Mallory explains
"Really? Because Lawson and Havis weren't in the system?" Adam explains
"Don't use your detective - ness on me! And you know that system is pretty messed up. Maybe trudy got it wrong?" Mallory says
"So your saying trudy got it wrong? Your mother? Who also happens to be the scariest person known to man?" Adam asks
"Yes I am" Mallory adds before turning her attention back to her screen
It's later that night and Mallory hasn't seen Antonio all night, it's 12am when she gets a call from him
"Hello?" Mallory answers
"HeLlO!" Antonio mutters
"Antonio? Where are you?" Mallory asks
"Some bAr!" Antonio yells
"Are you drunk honey?" Mallory asks as Upton walks  in
"Everything okay?" She mouths
"Antonio's drunk" Mallory mouths
"I am not drunk!" Antonio argues
Mallory then pins his location and grabs her keys
"Yes you are" Mallory argues before walking out the door
Mallory then drives down to the bar and walks in, she gives him that look and then spots Jay
"Tell me your sober" Mallory asks as she walks over to him
However Jay is leaning against the wall half asleep and Antonio has his shirt off and is singing karaoke
"Oh my god" Mallory mutters before guiding Jay over to Antonio
"HeY MaL!" Antonio yells as he climbs down
"Come on honey, time to go home" Mallory adds as she guides the 2 drunk men out
