Chapter 74 - Firehouse

It was the next morning and Mallory had just woken up. She was in Haileys shirt. She walked into the kitchen to see Hailey up and ready for shift.
"Morning" She smiled
Mallory just walked by her, she was embarrassed. Only Kelly had ever seen her like that.
"I'm gonna take a shower" Mallory said
"Mal" Hailey said as Mallory slammed the bathroom door
Hailey sighed. After about 10 minutes, Mallory walked out looking as good as new
"Want me to drive you to shift?" Hailey asked
"I need to talk to Kelly" Mallory said as she walked out

Mallory drove to her place to see Kelly sitting on the couch
"Mal?! Where have you been?" Kelly yelled
"I'm sorry, work ran over last night and I stayed at my moms place" Mallory smiled
"You could've called!" Kelly argued
"My phone died, I'm really sorry" Mallory said
"Hey I get it, don't worry about it" Kelly smiled
"And how is my baby?!" Mallory smiled as she picked Lucas up
"He slept all night last night" Kelly said
"Great, I'll drop him off at daycare on my way to work" Mallory smiled as she kissed Kelly goodbye

Mallory arrived at work a short time later, everyone was staring at her when she walked in. Trudy was sat at her desk
"You relapsed?!" She yelled
"I was undercover! What was I supposed to do?!" Mallory asked
"Not take the drugs" Trudy yelled
"I was playing a role Mom! I needed to make it believable!" Mallory argued
"You could've died! I'm assuming Kelly doesn't know about this?" Trudy asked
"He doesn't and we're going to keep it that way" Mallory said
"Your getting married to him Mal, you've gotta start telling him things" Trudy said before walking away
Hailey walked by and made eye contact with Mallory before Voight appeared at her desk
"I need you to head down to 51" He said
"How come?" Mallory asked
"No clue, Casey requested it" Voight said as Mallory grabbed her keys and walked out

Mallory arrived at the firehouse and was greeted by Casey
"Hey Matt, what's up?" Mallory asked
"So 81 responded to a call today, it didn't seem right. There was 2 guys around mid 20's. However we've been getting these threatening texts and letters through the firehouse" Casey said
"Right, as you said it doesn't sit right with me. So I'm going to send over 3 patrol cars, just to be safe" Mallory said
"Great, thank you" Casey said
"I'm trying to think, I've got a really full day on or else I would've stayed" Mallory said
"Hey it's all good" Casey smiled
"I'll drop by as soon as I can" Mallory smiled

Mallory then got on with her day, she was wrapping up and arrest when her phone went off
"Hello?" She answered
"There's a problem at the firehouse, gunshots were heard" The patrol officer said
"Are they all still inside?" Mallory asked
"Everyone apart from ambo" He added
"Fuck, can you get a hold of intelligence?" Mallory asked
"Why do you think I called you?" He said
"Got it, I'll be right over" Mallory said as she got into her car
On the way to the firehouse, she called Trudy
"Where's the unit?" Mallory asked
"Undercover" Trudy said
"Get them out of that now, I need them down at the firehouse" Mallory said as she arrived at the firehouse
