CHAPTER 2

Shruthi rushed inside and told Ri

Ri offered to drive," babe you dont have a license and you are drunk" Shruthi pointed out .

"I just had 2 sips and I know to drive but too scared to do it, now its an emergency lets go", she said.

They borrowed the bride to be's car. shruthi tried to wipe off the alcohol in her dress and hair and body. She was careful not to disturb Ri who had her full concentration on the road. Shruthi cursed herself for not collecting her bag from the Pub's locker.

Shruthi jumped out of the car as soon as it neared the entrance gate and ran bare footed into the lobby. The receptionist signalled to her as OT 3, She could see Vimal signalling her not to go.

Shruthi took the elevator and bumped into a doctor and before she could rush was pulled back

"Where are you rushing Miss?" he demanded

She found herself facing a tall dark stern faced brown eyed man, the man she spilled coffee on.
"I have no time I have to go I'm...",she tried to escape trying to free herself from his grip

He sniffed "you are drunk. what's your emergency?" he asked

"I'm dr.shruthi and was called in",she said
Her brain was buzzing 'don't say you are Rishi'

"no place for a drunk doctor in my Ot out you go", he said

"I'm not drunk I'm just drenched in alcohol", she said

He smirked studying her top to bottom. "No can't do out", he said

"Fine I'm not getting into the Ot let me just be in the scrub room or just tell me who the patient is I can help".

"Patient is Mrs.Komal subash does it ring a bell?" he talked as if talking to someone who was lacking their cognitive skills.

"Oh hell! have you started the surgery? whats the emergency? she's not due till later this month. oh! her blood report her blood mapping", shruthi spoke faster

"yes, everything is ready but she wants you, because you, have made a patient believe in your non sense. now she is keeping the experts waiting for a surgical resident? a drunk for what?"He roared.

"Listen doctor, who ever you be I need to access her blood reports which I ordered yesterday. when she was here for her regular"

Ri had arrived and was shocked to see shruthi in the corridor arguing. She understood the situation

"Dr.Rishi she's not drunk, if thats what keeping you from admitting dr.Shruthi in", ri vouched for her friend.

Rishi looked at them in dismay. Shruthi pulled the mac book from Rishi's hands and gave to Ridhi. "Ri can you access the blood report on Komal that I ordered yesterday"

Before rishi could protest Ri was logging in and searching the results "Got it" she said

Shruthi looked at it and gave it to Rishi "Bombay O",she said "Its Bombay O not Just O+ve"

Rishi rushed to the OT 3 and there was a sudden buzz of activity. The brother and father of the patient was taken to the blood bank for a quick analysis and word was sent out for Bombay O group blood.

"Dr.shruthi this way please",Rishi summoned her into an observation room. "You can talk to the patient and give her an assurance", he pressed a button and signaled her to speak

"Hey Komal! dr.shruthi here I'm actually in a difficult situation so can't come in. But I have sorted out the problem so thumbs up", she said and Komal smiled and gave a thumbs up.
