"Prashanth who is Mercina?" Sk asked at the dinner table

"She is the assistant neuro surgeon at our hospital", Prashanth said without thinking

"Who is she to you?" Sk asked

Urvashi who had no interest in the earlier conversation between dad & son now looked up, She sent away the maids with just an eye movement. As a better half of Sk she traveled along with her husband all over the world. At difficult times Urvashi was Sk's go to counsel. Tall and elegant she had a oval shaped face her skin was fairer than her son's.

Not even a single strand of hair was out of place even when she was at home.
She gave importance to her look. When walking with her husband she received the same respect and that Sk got.

"Dad... I think I'm entitled to keep certain things as personal", Prashanth did not want to discuss it with his parents.

"So this girl how does she look like?" Urvashi asked.

"Mom please, let me finish my dinner"

"Fine leave him at peace, suru! you tell me have you seen that girl is she good looking?" Urvashi asked her husband

"She is apt to be your daughter in law she has class, she is dignified, she is beautiful just like you and she is very capable"

"Is it? do you think that girl loves him?" Urvashi asked

"Well, the rumor has that even after breaking up with our playboy son, the girl is friends with him", Sk winked

They both spoke as if Prashanth was not there

"Enough! with all your suru & Uru, i'm still here"

"Then you tell us" Both of them asked in chorus

He placed his fork on the table and spoon on the plate and Urvashi corrected it she placed the fork at 9 o clock position and spoon at 3 'o' clock position on the plate. Urvashi gave equal importance to her looks and etiquette

"We were together for two years, I even thought that she was the one but she broke up with me as I'm a pathological Flirt", he did not look up "That picture in The Witch doctor did it all, she broke up with me on that day",He was so angry

"Any women would do that", Sk blurted out his mind

Urvashi gave him a stare "Son do you still love her?"

"I haven't thought about it Mom its been a year now"

"Then it's time to ask yourself who do you want in life instead of blindly chasing others?" She held her son's hand

"Got to think about it mom, I don't know what's in her mind. Thanks Mom" he got up and kissed her and left

Urvashi folded his napkin and placed it on the left side of his plate and placed the fork & spoon parallel to each other on the plate.

"Suru go talk to him", She nudged her husband

"Talk to him? what the grownup talk? He knows more than me. Plus honey you really think he will change?" He asked

"You changed, didn't you? or...." She gave him that raised eyebrow look

"Fine..."Sk poured 2 glasses of scotch and took it to his son

"Mom made you do this didn't she?"

"Yeah! can't say no to her",Sk laughed

"So tell me dad what do you want to know about Mercina? whats your interest in her? I know that it's not because you care about me" Prashanth asked the direct question
