"Mr. Moretti the bullet only grazed your wife's arm we gonna send her home today, she just gonna need her bandages change-." the nurse said
"What's the update on Enzo" I asked cutting her off
"He was taken to emergency surgery to remove the bullet from his chest" she said
"Ok how long will the surgery take" I asked
"A few hours, I can take you to see your wife" she said
"No I'm ok, I'll just wait for Enzo to get out of surgery" I said
"ok" she said walking away
"Caesar where is Shanice? Is Enzo ok?" Elias said coming in
"The nurse says she's fine. And Enzo is in surgery right now he's going to be fine" I said
"Have you seen her yet?" He asked
"No I haven't" I said
"Of course you haven't, why would you go check on your wife after she has been shot" Lelani said irritated

"She's my best friend, you may not care about her but I do" she said walking away
"I know you and Shanice don't have the best relationship, but I'm going to tell you like I did her. You both are grown and I shouldn't have tried to control your decisions and for that I am sorry, but you are still married to her and whether you like it or not she is still your responsibility." he said
"You mean like how mom was your responsibility...she was an addict for years and you didn't even care to help her. But I guess you didn't need too because she was just your second option right, you never loved her like you did what's her name...Athena" I said
"Don't do that" he said pushing me

"You had love for her you weren't in love with her, it makes perfect sense now you probably the one that killed her. You couldn't stand to look at her huh, because she reminded you of the one that got away" I said and he punched me in the face, the impact stings, sending a shockwave of pain through me.
