As she moves around the dimly lit kitchen in a tank top with no bra and short shorts, I can't help but admire her beauty from the corner where I stand, unnoticed. Her back was turned to me as, I watched as she hummed softly to herself, the melody intertwining with the clatter of dishes. It's been over 20 years since I've seen her like this, her body fuller and more voluptuous than I remember. The years may have passed, but my attraction to her hasn't faded. It's like no time has passed at all, and I find myself longing to be closer to her once again.
"You should invest in a security system" I said and Athena turned around shocked to see me
"How the fuck did you get in my house" she asked holding her chest
"Your out of wine" I said taking a sip of my drink
"You were in my frig? Elias leave" She said walking to the door, I couldn't tear my gaze away as she sashayed across the kitchen, her curves swaying with each step.
"We need to talk" I said ignoring her again
"No, my daughter will be home any minute and you need to go" she said
"I know your daughter is at a sleepover, she's not coming home tonight"
"How do you even know that? Have you been watching us?" she asked me crossing her arms
"How long has your bar been going under" I asked ignoring her questions

"After that chaotic night at my house I asked my son how did he know to offer you a deal on your bar and he showed me your accounts, he noticed you were becoming late on your payments. I had someone review your statements and I learned that someone else makes the payments on your bar and they stopped paying. Who's runs Titan Enterprise, their name is all over your business accounts and the other businesses in the South District" I said and she shook her head
"I don't know what your talking about, you need to leave" she said opening the door
"Your lying, tell me who's running Titan Enterprise" I said slamming her door shut
"Elias what the hell, why does this even matter to you" she said
"Because that son of a bitch almost killed my children to send me a message" I said
"You don't know that" she said
"You think it's a coincidence my son offers to buy your bar from you, and then purchase a property in the same neighborhood as your bar. Titan enterprise name is on every business in that vicinity. Who did you call after my son left your bar?" I asked her walking up to her and she backed up til her back hit the wall
"I didn't know, I promise..he told me to call if someone wanted to buy. I didn't know he was your son" she said
"Who did you call?" I asked putting both my hands against the wall leaving her with no room to walk away
