One Week Later
"So today will be your last day at the Moretti Manor" Elias said and that threw me off guard
"What do you mean? Where am I going?" I asked
"Your going to be living with your husband" he said
"He wouldn't want me there"
"He doesn't have a choice I have some people dropping your stuff off now, in the meantime I wanted to let you know that you will be taking over the day to day operations. You should know some of the in and outs of this business." he said
"What kind of day to day operations" I asked
"Caesar's best friend Enzo who is like another son to me, he manages the club. But Enzo is also a single father and I know how his schedule can conflict. So I want you to help him run it." He said
"Does he know that" I asked
"Yeah I already spoke to Enzo, he knows to be expecting you soon."
"I wasn't talking about Enzo" I said
"When's the last time you talked to my son" he asked and I shrugged my shoulders
"I don't know, about a week ago" I said and he took a deep breath
"Are you afraid of him?"
"I'm not afraid of him, I just don't understand him. Like I get he doesn't want to be with me because he has a girlfriend. And I let him know when I saw her at the party that I get it" I said rambling
"She was at the party" he asked
"Yeah they were talking on the balcony" I said and he nodded and he started texting someone on his phone
"Go to the club and meet with Enzo I need to handle something" he said handing me car keys and leaving
When I arrived at the club I was greeted by Enzo, I notice his tall stature and confident stride. His handsome face is framed by a well-groomed beard, and his smile lights up the room. Tattoos peek out from beneath the sleeves of his shirt and he gave me a tour. The club was nice, he introduced me to some of the girls.
"I just want you to know I not here to step on your toes. I don't even know how to run a club" I said
"It's ok, I'm not going to give you a hard time. Elias is right I needed the help" he said
"Elias told me that you have a kid, how old?" I asked
"She's four years old" he said smiling
"Well I'm going to get my office set up, thank you for today" I said leaving
knock knock
"Come in" I said looking up and it was one of the girls
"Sorry I was looking for Enzo" she said about to leave and I stopped her
