"Are you fucking crazy" Caesar said getting in my car

"I didn't call you to argue with me, Are you going to help me or not" I asked

He took a deep breath. "I don't know," he said finally, his voice hoarse. "I mean, I want to help you, but... but this is stupid, Shanice...What are you even doing here?

"I know," I said, my heart pounding. "But Lelani is in there, Caesar. We were suppose to go in together but I guess I took to long. I can't just leave her."

"Why is she in there?" he asked

"It's a long story..look I know you and Lelani aren't on good terms..hell were not on good terms but she's still your sister and she's in there alone and she could be in trouble or hurt" I said

He was silent for a moment, "Okay," he said at last, his voice rough. "Do you have your gun with you" he asked and I nodded

"So what's the plan" I asked Caesar

"I'm going in to see if I can find her, your staying in the car" he said

"You can't just make me wait in the car and the place is closed how are you expecting to get in" I asked and he pointed to the cracked open door in the back

"Stay here" he said getting out the car and I followed

"I'm not staying in the car, I'm coming with you. She might be your sister but she's my best friend, so I'm coming too" I said and he took a deep breath and shook his head.

"Stay close to me" he said pulling out his gun and we walked to the back door

We moved through the darkened club, my heart pounding in my chest. The air was thick with the scent of stale beer and sweat, and a low hum of music pulsed through the silence. The club was empty. Except for a few passed out people and the occasional stripper still on the stage, their bodies glistening with oil.

Caesar led the way, his gun held loosely at his side. I trailed behind, my mind racing. Every creak of the old floorboards under our feet seemed like a death.

"They're probably watching us," Caesar whispered, his voice barely audible over the thrumming bass. "We need to be quiet."

I nodded, my stomach churning. The thought of those cold, hard eyes watching us from the darkness was chilling. I clung to Caesar's side, my fingers digging into his arm.

We reached the back of the club, and Caesar paused, peering around the corner. "Clear," he murmured, and we slipped through the door into the dimly lit hallway.

The sound of water dripping echoed through the space, and we followed the sound until we came to a set of stairs leading down into the basement. Taking a deep breath, I followed him down the stairs. The air grew colder, the silence more oppressive. At the bottom, we found ourselves in a massive basement room. Suddenly, the dim light revealed a figure on a couch in the center of the room.
