3 Weeks Later
"Sir you have a visitor" my receptionist said
"Let them in" I said, the door creaks open, and I glance up to see Shanice walking in, her expression troubled. Instantly, concern washes over me as I take in her appearance, noting the furrowed brow and the tension in her posture. She looks like she has a lot on her mind.
"Hey is everything ok" I asked
"Not really" she said
"Have a seat" I said and she sat down
"I moved out of the house" she said
"What did he do now" I asked
"He doesn't want me there, I can't live like this anymore. I understand that we're supposed to be this unit that runs this family. But it's not gonna happen..you chose the wrong girl" she said
"Your not the wrong girl.. you don't see it yet but you have great potential. I think I had this whole thing wrong, I never realized I was doing to my son what was done to me. I loved Lelani's mother, I would die for her. She was forced out of my life and I was forced to love someone else. I'm sorry I took your choice away from you. If you want to do your own thing I get it, I can't just let you go though you know to much and the other families would never go for that" I said
"I understand" she said
"I'm gonna get you in touch with my realtor, when you find a place let me know and I'll have everything in place for you. In the meantime where are you staying?" I asked
"With the Lelani, she said I could stay with her..she stays in the South District " she said
"The crime rate is high down there" I said
"We're tough girls, we're fine really" she said getting ready to leave
"Be careful please" I said and she smiled
"Always" she said leaving
"Boss I wanted to remind you of the meeting you have today at 3" my receptionist said
"Cancel it and tell my driver to pull the car around, I'm taking a trip to South District" I said
"Yes sir" she said leaving.
