Mark caught Jaehyun up to speed with the business. In fact, it was doing better than normal since Jaehyun's heroic act for his son spread like wildfire on the Internet.

His injuries acquired by saving Jaemin drew attention to the business, people of the small town and even from the city, dedicated a wall of messages to the man for his actions, and wished him well on recovery.

Taeyong even made trending on his social media when he posted updates on Jaehyun, also keeping speculations at bay.

"Wow... um... I don't really know what to say." Jaehyun replied as Jaemin left his lap in boredom of watching the TV, now going to find Jisung.

Jaehyun was sadly forced to stay on the sofa during recovery. It is where he will be for the time being until he is able to do normal things.

The boys didn't mind it however. They enjoyed the constant company of their Dad while Papa had to work. They remained on their best behaviour as their Dad watched them from the sofa.

"What about Johnny? You still haven't told me why he hasn't come to take them away from us." Jaehyun whispered to Taeyong, trying to be discrete and not upset Jaemin.

He's noticed the blonde gets startled when Johnny's name was mentioned and avoids certain topics that leads to Jaehyun's accident. He worries for the boy, not to mention he's grown even more so attached to him than before.

"He's in prison."

... Jaehyun was speechless. In shock to say the least from the way Taeyong deadpanned the sentence, like it had no life or meaning.

"What? How did that happen?"

"He got into big trouble, and to avoid consequences of getting caught he faked his own death, never died." Taeyong whispered as he saw Jaemin walk in the room, grab his juice and leave again.

"Wait you can be arrested for faking your death?" Jaehyun asked confused.

Taeyong shook his head, "Faking your death isn't a crime, it's the reasons behind it that makes it so. And his reasons borderline money and fraud with people you should never associate with when you have kids."

Jaehyun nodded as he understood where Taeyong was coming from, with no need of further explanation.

"He wanted those kids back as an alibi to the reason he faked his death, and up until your accident there was no evidence to use against him."

Jaehyun squinted, furrowing his brows for a moment, "Wait, what do you mean 'up until my accident'? Your saying evidence was found?"

"For starters, him trying to tell the police you were suicidal because you couldn't keep his kids!" Taeyong yelled harshly, making small fists as his eyes watered.

"As if you'd leave those boys... especially do something like that in front of them."

Jaehyun reached out and pulled Taeyong into a tight embrace. The older sat on his lap comfortably, trying to stop the sobbing and rage of what he heard Johnny telling the police.

"I was lucky to hear him before we left in the ambulance. My testimony rose flags to the police and they did an indepth search on you and me. Leading to Johnny when discovering I adopted the kids after his 'death'." Taeyong explained, Jaehyun nodding along.
