As Mr Hwang left, Jaehyun and Taeyong was left sighing in relief before another knock at the door left them tense.
"Come in!" Taeyong called before seeing his assistant, Doyoung, walk through the doors with a rolling tray of hot chocolate, coffee and cookies.
"Three hot chocolates, one without marshmallows, one black coffee and a tray of Mrs Kim's cookies." He smiled, catching a glimpse of Jaehyun who stood beside Taeyong.
Taeyong smiled before looking with shock, "Mrs Kim Hyori is back from her holiday? Is she here?"
Doyoung nodded, wanting to say more before he watched Taeyong grab Jaehyun's hand and call the boys over, "You have got to meet Mrs Kim. Boys! Doyoung has your hot chocolate and cookies!"
He left his office immediately after and dragged Jaehyun to the stairs, knowing full well that he wouldn't want to get back in that elevator. He brought him down two flights of stairs to a level with a small cafeteria.
There she sat with a small sandwich and tea, Mrs Kim Hyori was a special character in Taeyong's life. Light greyish white hair, flowers behind her ears. A white blouse with a green cardigan, long suited grey trousers and leather slip on's. Her usual style.
As the stairway door closed it drew her attention upwards, a smile grew as she rested her sandwich on her plate, "Mr Lee, what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you this morning?"
"Just wanted to see one of my favourite people in the building." He cheesily replied, eyes looking over her to see how her conditions were.
While that happened, her eyes trailed down to the interlocked hands, bringing a greater smile on her face.
"And who may you be?" She asked, standing up and extending her hand out, which Jaehyun respectfully shook with his free hand.
"Jung Jaehyun, Taeyong's partner. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Her eyebrows raised as a devious smile formed, "Partners as in business or..." her eyes flickered over the hands, "Relationship partners?"
Taeyong could only laugh, knowing her need to know everything about somebody, this time being about them. She can sometimes be too intruding with no bad intention, it's just how she is.
"Yes Ma'am, he is my boyfriend." Jaehyun smiled, looking around noticing all the stares, making his ears flush red again.
She nods in excitement before looking between the two, "Sorry for prying, but how long have you been together? Taeyong only brings his children here."
The men look between themselves to see who'd answer, Taeyong taking the initiative now, "A few months now. Before you ask, Jae owns a coffee shop I love going to, that's how we met."
Mrs Kim clasps her hands together with more joy, "Oh how romantic. You know, in my book I've been meaning to decided how my characters meet. How perfect will your story fit into my book!"
Taeyong and Jaehyun exchanged stares before the topic was changed, "How has your break been? Did the treatment go well?"
Jaehyun perked up to those words, is she injured? Ill? She looks rather healthy for an elderly woman.
