Prompt: in which Daniel didn't cheat but he's still a traitor

-3rd person POV-

Corbyn walked down the halls of the high school he was attending. Murmurs going off everywhere around the halls. All of them talking, whispering, and pointing to Corbyn. But Corbyn was used to it.

Corbyn had dated Daniel Seavey. The most popular person at their high school. Daniel was loved by everyone. He has the looks, the personality, the charm, and he was involved in a variety of clubs and sports. But it wasn't always like that. Corbyn had changed him.

It has been two weeks since the couple had called it quits. And the school was still buzzing and ravening about the news. It didn't help that Daniel had announced he was dating Franny last night. It had took him two weeks to move on. Corbyn and Daniel had been dating a year. Not the longest but Corbyn couldn't understand how he moved on in just simply two weeks.

Corbyn walked up to his locker that just happened to be next to Daniel's. Franny and Daniel were already there.

Corbyn simply took a deep breath and went to his locker. He grabbed everything he needed and closed his locker. As he began to walk away, a voice stopped him. A voice that made him so tense with so much anger yet so much sadness.

"Why did you tell people i cheated? I never cheated Corbyn. What the hell?" Daniel spoke up causing Corbyn to freeze in his steps.

Corbyn simply shook his head and began to walk away once again. A crowd started to form. They knew Daniel always got answers.

"Don't just walk away. Tell me!" Daniel said, frustration evident in his tone.

"Let's go man. He's not worth it. He's just lying anyways." Zach said, Daniel's best friends.

Corbyn turned around. Taking a deep breath as he saw Daniel's hand wrapped around Franny's waist.

"I never said you cheated." Was the first thing that came out of Corbyn's mouth.

"Little white lies, I played dumb but I always knew. I just kept quiet so I could keep you." Corbyn whispered softly as he walked up to the couple. But his voice was heard from all around.

"And isn't it funny how you ran to her the second we called it quits?" Corbyn laughed as tears welled up in his eyes.

"I'm here." Jonah whispered softly as he came up behind Corbyn. Jonah, Corbyn's best friend. Coming to the rescue like always.

"And isn't it funny how you said you guys were friends. Now it sure as hell don't look like it." Corbyn said, wiping the couple of tears that had managed to escape.

"And now you bring her around just to shut me down. Show her off like she's some kind of new trophy." Corbyn spat out as he looked at Daniel's hand that was around Franny's waist.

"Remember all the questions you used avoid. I brought her up once and you told me I was just being paranoid." Corbyn laughed quietly as everyone stood around in shock.

"When she's sleeping in the bed we made, don't you ever forget the way you hurt me." Corbyn snapped.

"But I know you'll never feel sorry for the way i hurt." Corbyn spat as Daniel frowned.

"God I wish you had thought this through before I went and fell in love with you." Corbyn whispered brokenly as the crowd frowned.

"You talked to her when we were together." Corbyn finally admitted as the crowd gasped.

"Whoa Dani. You never told me that." Zach admitted as he stepped back from the couple.

"You gave me your word but that didn't matter." Corbyn said tears slide down his cheeks.

"I loved you at your worst but that didn't matter either." Corbyn snapped out of anger, walking up to Daniel. Corbyn had turned Daniel from the cold bitch he once was to the loving Daniel everyone loved now.

"It took you two weeks to go off and date her." Corbyn said as he looked at franny.

"So yea, I guess you didn't cheat." Corbyn admitted as everyone watched his every move.

"But you're still a traitor." Corbyn whispered as he stepped back.

"Wish you really would have thought this through before I went and fell in love with you." Corbyn admitted as he tears slid down his cheeks.

Jonah came up to Corbyn and took his hand. Pulling him away from the scene. And from the person who broke him.

"But You're still a traitor." Corbyn whispered to Daniel before jonah fully pulled him away. The crowd staying as they stared at Daniel who simply looked down. His hand now removed from Franny's waist.
