Ship(s): Donah (Daniel and Jonah)
Prompt: in which they call off their wedding
Famous or nah: famous
-3rd person POV-
Both men stayed in their own hotel room. They were separated because they couldn't look at one another. They were trying on their tuxedos for what felt like the millionth time. They were two weeks before the wedding and each two days they tried on their wedding. Making sure that they were gaining weight.
This wedding was the most anticipated wedding. The two most famous artists were about to tie the knot. But they didn't want to. This was their personal hell. They didn't love each other. This was forced upon them by their management. Daniel is only nineteen. Jonah only twenty. Daniel nor Jonah were ready for such a big commitment. The next step was a child. How could they possible handle a child, they were still children themselves. They wanted out.
The clock hit 12 am. Both men still awake in their own hotel room. Their team had left them about an hour ago. Their thoughts kept them up at night. At first it was fun for them. They hit it off and actually began to like one another. But now, they only did it for the media. For the cameras. Their love slowly began to die for one another. They simply kept up the act because they were forced to. Their manger had told each one that they would be dropped from the record company if they called off their relationship contract.
Jonah being the oldest put matter into his own hands. He knew Daniel didn't want this. And he didn't blame him because Jonah didn't want this either. Jonah was not about to have his whole future taken away. Jonah was not gonna put up with this. Jonah was not about to have someone else plan out his future. He worked way to damn hard for this. And he was absolutely going to put up a fight.
So with a heart and head full of determination, Jonah walked out of his hotel room and down the hall to his "lover's" room.
With a knock on the door, Jonah patiently waited for Daniel to answer the door.
"Jonah?" Daniel asked, disbelief in his voice.
"I was wondering if we could talk Dani," Jonah said as Daniel nodded and immediately opened the door more so that could Jonah could walk in.
"What's wrong?" Daniel asked Jonah as they sat on the couch.
"How'd you know something was wrong?" Jonah asked Daniel with a small laugh.
"I did love you jonah, things changed. But I still know you," Daniel said as Jonah sighed.
"You don't wanna do this do you?" Jonah asked as Daniel frowned.
"It won't hurt my feelings Daniel, I just need the truth," Jonah said after he saw Daniel hesitating with his own answer.
"I don't," whimpered Daniel.
"Oh thank God, I don't want this either," Jonah said with a sigh of relief.
"I don't want my future taken away from me Jonah," Daniel frowned.
"I know Dani, me too. So let's fight this." Jonah said.
"How?" Daniel asked.
"Let's run. You run home and I'll do the same. We are grown ass people Daniel. They can't keep doing this to us. I'm done with being a puppet," Jonah said.
"What about our record label?" Daniel asked.
"We can just continue doing our music through YouTube. I'd rather have not a bunch of money but freedom over little freedom with a bunch of money." Jonah confessed as Daniel nodded along.
"Is it a deal?" Jonah asked Daniel.
"It's a deal," Daniel nodded, agreeing.
"You got your bags packed?" Jonah asked Daniel as Daniel nodded.
"I never unpack. They always have us moving around. We can never get rest," Daniel sighed as he grabbed his suitcases and carry on. Making sure he had his charger and laptop in his carry on since he had taken them out earlier to entertain himself.
"Alrighty lets go to the airport. We'll just have to stop at my room for a second and grab mine as well. But all my stuff are also packed," Jonah said as they left Daniel's room.

"Flight 222 to Minnesota is now boarding," the intercom said as Jonah stood up.
"Flight 204 to Oregon is now boarding," another intercom went off as Daniel stood up and grabbed his bags.
"This is it," Daniel said, tears in his eyes.
"Thank you for being there for me. This might not have been real but it was at first. And you've been with me for three years now, over everything," Daniel said as tears ran down his cheeks.
Multiple cameras on them. But they were in a private lounge and no one was aloud in. So no words were heard from the public.
Their phones had been going off but they turned them off. Both men knew it was their manger. They were doing this for themselves. It was time they lived for themselves. Of course they would announce it later on but for right now, all they wanted was their families.
"I'm always here for you Dani. Even after this. You were my first love. Take care of yourself. I'm only a phone call away. You need me, I'll catch a red eye." Jonah said as he pulled Daniel into a well needed hug. Because even though they no longer loved one another as lovers, they still loved one another as friends. They spent every waking moment together for the past three years. Things were about to change.
"This belongs to you," Daniel said as he began pulling off his ring.
Jonah looked up and gulped. This was really happening. Ever since they got engaged, it was them in the future. Now it was all changing. It was a bittersweet moment. Both imagined they would end up marrying each other. Both imagined they would end up marrying their first love. Back then when it was real for them. But then sadly the media had ruined that for them.
"I bought it for you Dani, keep it," Jonah said as Daniel shook his head while he grabbed Jonah's arm.
"You bought this for the person you are gonna Marry," Daniel said as he sit the ring on Jonah's palm.
"See you later," Daniel whispered as he closed his eyes. Leaning his head on Jonah's chest. The paps on the side were eating this up. They just got on film the separation of the biggest couple.
"See you soon," Jonah whispered as he leaned his head on Daniel's top head.
Both pulled away and began to walk to their own gate. Both looked back at the same time and waved goodbye with a sad smile on their faces.
Jonah looked ahead and squeezed his palm. He looked down and smiled. This was it. He was doing this for himself.
And the object in his hand was a symbol that represented the best and worst three years of his life.
All the memories, pain, laughs, cries, heartbreaks, suffering, and many more things came into mind from
The ring
