Tyler's POV:

"We should pick baby names." Raven randomly says when the movie gets to a boring part.

"Babe, we still have till next ultrasound to find out the genders, and even then we might not find them out." I say.

Sadly, at Raven's doctor appointment yesterday, we didn't find out the genders. But at least my little munchkins are healthy.

"So? We could still figure out names."

I sigh.

"Ok, have any ideas?"

"Emily."

"I like Emily. Any others?"

"I kinda like River. I know it's a weird name, but I just really like it. And it could be for a girl or a boy." Raven says as she starts playing with my fingers.

"I really like River too."

"Do you have any name ideas?" Raven asks.

FLASHBACK

...

Something's wrong with Wyatt. But I'm not sure what. I keep asking him if he's ok, and he always says yes, but I know he's lying. I'm honestly worried about him. He's my only friend, my best friend. And I'm scared something has happened.

"Dude, you zoned out." Wyatt says.

"Oh, sorry. What were you saying?"

Wyatt shrugs. "Nothing much. Just that Tracy's super hot."

"Bro, screw Tracy, it's Hailey that's the hot one." I fire back.

"Guys, stop ruining the movie!" Anna whines.

"Hey! I'm not ruining it, I'm just stating facts. Tracy is hot." Wyatt says.

We both break out in sweet laughter as Anna turns off the tv and stomps away. But I can't help but notice how the laugh doesn't quite reach his eyes. They just don't have that little light in them, you know?

We both stop laughing, and just stare into each other's eyes for a few seconds.

Wyatt's eyes have this dull glaze over his once bright blue eyes, making them a dull muddy blue color.

"You're my best friend, you know that?" Wyatt says. "I love you so damn much."

"I love you too Wyatt. And I could never ask for a better friend."

Wyatt smiles, but it's not his usual carefree smile, it looks pained. And I can't figure out why.

"Well, I better get going. Best to be home so I don't run into Gary."

Gary is Wyatt's stepdad. They aren't on the best terms. Meaning Gary sometimes hits Wyatt. And on top of that, he's bullied at school. Wyatt does not have it easy.

"Ok, bye." I say.

Wyatt and I do our little handshake we made, then our bro hug. Then Wyatt leaves.

...

I'm woken up in the middle of the night by my mom, who's in tears.

"Mom? What's wrong?"

She takes one look into my eyes, and starts crying again.

A pit forms in the bottom of my stomach, and I start fearing the worse. I've never seen my mom cry, actually, I never really see her. But knows not the time to be a whiny baby.
