Khanyisile! Khanyisile! Khanyisile! Khanyisile!
I immediately woke up after that weird dream. I looked at the time and I had an hour to spare. I don't remember the last time I dreamt, so this was weird. That voice sounded so familiar. I don't remember from where but I was not scared when the voice kept on calling me. I wanted to follow the voice but I could not move. It felt like my feet were glued to were I stood. I really tried moving but I could not.
Today was a sunny day so I wanted something light to wear. After my shower I wore my nude blouse with a nude pencil skirt that had a slit on the side I finished the look with gold stilettos and wore a doek. I must admit I definitely didn't look like my problems. I looked like a million dollars. I was breathtaking even if I said so myself.
Oh daddy thank you for marrying a white woman! I said while admiring myself. I felt better today. I hope my day will be good as well.
I heard my brothers whistling as I came down the stairs. Just because I love drama I gave them a few poses and twirls.
“Awu suka madoda!” Nkosi
“Ingani kaAngelique madoda.” Msizi
“Awu uMapholoba wazala kodwa la.” Nkosi
“Jikeleza phela!” Msizi
“Thata yellow bone!” Mom
We all laughed at that statement, it was weird coming from my mom. My mom and drama.
“You look like me today. This is how I charmed that Zulu man of mine.” she said as she held her waist.
We continued to laugh.
“Kodwa Ma!” Msizi
“I'm telling you! I might not have a huge ass but this tiny ass drove your dad crazy, he decided to put a ring on my finger.” Mom
“Too much information Mom. TMI!” Nkosi
“This is nice, it's nice seeing everyone smile for a change.” Olwethu
“I'll take the twins to school today.” Bonginkosi said.
We all went and sat at the patio today to have breakfast. Mom went all out. Eggs, bacon, muffins, toast and I saw mushrooms as well.
“I packed some muffins for you to take to work, Scarlett.” Mom
“Thank you.”
“And you Ms dehydration I'll be driving you to work today.” Msizi said.
Everyone laughed.
“Come on I am capable of driving myself. What about when I knockoff?”
“I will pick you up. I'm not leaving today, I made a mistake my flight leaves tomorrow.” MsiziAfter breakfast Msizi drove me to work. I thought he was joking but look at him all comfortable in my car. As we drove Zayn called but I switched my phone off. Msizi knows about Zayn and if he were to find out that he is the one calling me, hell will freeze. “Who are you ignoring early in the morning, MaKhanyis?”
“No one important.”
“Is it a boyfriend?”
“No!”
“I'm just asking so I can introduce myself to him.”
By him introducing himself he means intimidating the “boyfriend”.
Please stop here, I pointed the bakery.
I'll find you here when I knockoff.
Hawu I thought I will come with you and see where you work.
“Uyahlupha kodwa Msizi! Only 5 minutes.”
We went inside the building and up the elevator. As soon as we got to my cubicle I saw Kele making her way to me but she stopped as soon as my brother turned to her direction. She looked all kinds of shy. Yep shy, weird I know.
“Hi.” she greeted.
“Hey girl. Meet my brother Msizi, Msizi this is Kele.”
“Nice to meet you Ntokazi.” Him.
Kele was blushing like a teenager.
“Nice to meet you too Msizi.”
As I was telling my brother it's time he left Rendani made her way to us as well.
I introduced her as well and walked my brother to the elevator. When I walked back the girls were on my case.
“Girl you mean to tell me that fine specimen is your brother?” Rendani
“Yes he is my brother.”
“Is he single perhaps?” Kele
“I'm definitely not discussing my brother's personal life with any of y'all!”
They both laughed as they went their separate ways. It was business as usual. Work work work! I didn't want to put to much pressure on myself, because I might just I end up in the hospital again.
I've been so busy I did not have time to check my phone. I had a message from an unknown number.Hey it's Jas, I was wondering how you are? I hope you are well and don't overwork yourself.
I replied.
Hi. I'm good, thanks for asking. I have no idea when I'll return to gym though.
She replied.
Don't be in such a hurry to return. Your well-being is all that matters right now. Get enough rest because once you return, I'm not showing you any mercy.
I smiled while texting.
I’m tougher than I look. I'll be bringing all of me.
She replied.
I can't wait to see how tough you are.
I replied.
Oh trust me I'm tough. But I have to go now I'm at work. Bye and thanks for taking me to the hospital.
I saw Kieran looking at me.I shrugged my shoulders.
“Wat kyk jy?” ( what are you looking at?)
“Hoekom glimlag jy met jou foon?” ( why are you smiling with your phone?)
“Just Facebook.”
“Mhm I see.”
I just sat there and enjoyed my muffins. My mom can bake!
I haven't stalked Lutendo in a while now. I went on Instagram and he had posted a picture of him on a yacht wearing shorts only. As I kept looking at his other yacht pictures one caught my eye. There was a lady there, she was wearing a yellow swimsuit and it looked gorgeous on her. I tried zooming the picture thinking I would see her face but she made sure she hid it well. There was more pictures, this time around it looked fancy. He had on a slim fit suit pants, maroon in colour with a white shirt. He left open three buttons at the top. Lutendo had a chest! I could lay on it for days and never get up. Ohh I bet I could dream the lotto winning numbers as well, I said to myself and chuckled at my stupidity.
I went to Kele’s cubicle to ask her about the funeral arrangements and she told me that she won't be able to attend because of family politics. Honestly her reason was just off but I didn't want to push her. When she's ready she will talk to me. I also went and texted Zayn to tell him we could meet for drinks later. Nothing hectic.Hey, I was wondering if you might be free later in the afternoon so we can meet up for drinks perhaps?
He replied
Sure tell me the time and place I will be there.
Here I am in a uber to meet up with Zayn since my brother drove me to work today. We met at some grillhouse in Melville. I can't believe I'll be dining with someone who broke my heart, speaking about hearts I could hear mine beating so fast. Maybe this was not such a good idea. After I got off from the uber, I spotted Zayn. From where I am I could see that he was still a charming bastard!
I went over to him and he looked shocked to see me.
“I didn't think you would actually come.” he said as he gave me a hug.
“I've never been one to break promises. That's your speciality.”
“So how have you been Scar?”
Can a girl sit down and breathe first, I said to myself.
“Beside my dad missing, I'm good.. I'm very good and you?”
“I'm also good but I had to see you so I could genuinely apologize for how I treated you.”
I was really hoping he would not bring up the past. I'm not ready for that just yet.
“Uhm, Zayn I can't stay long as you see I took a uber to get here.”
“Ohh. Okay let's order food then.”
A waitress came and took our order then left. We kept on talking about the good times, before he showed me his true colors. Everytime he tried talking about the “real issue” I would change the subject.
My brother has been calling me for the past 5 minutes and I don't know how I'm going to explain me being here. I told him where he would find me since I'm not at work. I told Zayn I had to leave we will talk some other time. My brother picked me up and we drove home in silence. I'm shocked he did not ask any questions, because I'm tired of lying.
As soon as we got home, I went straight to my room. I suddenly felt tired I just wanted my bed. I wanted to take a shower first but the second I sat on my bed I fell asleep. A deep sleep.
