Things have been hectic at work chasing deadlines, trying to make time for the gym and making my relationship with Jas work. Yes, me and Jas decided to give ourselves a chance at this love thing a month ago. She's taking me out on a date tomorrow our very first official date and I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I have no idea where she's taking me, all I know is that I must look cute. On other news I found out who Kieran's mystery lady is. It's none other than Rendani!
During my lunch break Rendz and Kele accompanied me to this other boutique called, Donatella. One thing about me is that I love dressing up but I hate shopping. If I had the money I would definitely pay someone to do my shopping. The minute we walked into the boutique, I fell in love. I wish we didn't have to return to work afterwards.
“Yoh! Bathong ba modimo. It's so fancy in here.” Kele said looking around.
I had my eyes set on two dresses already. The further we walked into the boutique, the more I realised how easy it is to buy more than you intended to buy. “Do you see anything you like?” asked Rendz.
“I thought I did but now I'm not.” I said while admiring the clothes.
“Well you know we don't have the whole day. Only an hour break.” Kele.
“Okay. But maybe if you guys helped me out, we could find an outfit right?”
We went to another aisle anf I saw two dresses that I liked. One was a black glittery off the shoulder dress. I loved that it was not long neither was it short. It was perfect. I also loved the lace detail at the bottom. The other one was blood red. Oh lord have mercy! It had a very high slit, with a low neckline and it was backless. “I think I have found my dresses ladies.”
“Well go fit the dresses on!” they both said.
We went with the black glittery dress instead of the red one. It made more sense and it fitted perfectly like it was made for me. I also bought these cute silvery black pair of heels. I don't know if there's such a colour but the heels were definitely not black nor were they silver.
“Girl! I hope your date is very strong because when she sees you, she's going to be blown away.” Rendani.
“Can we go now we still have 15 minutes before our break is over. I'm starving!” Kele said with puppy eyes.
Just as we were about to get out, I mistakenly bumped into someone and my shopping bags fell. “Sorry.” I said to the person, I picked up my bags without looking at the person.
“It's okay we both weren't watching were we were going.”
Oh hell no! I'll be damned. When I looked up it was none other than Keabetswe Tau! This can't be a coincidence. It can't be.
“Hawu mngani it's you?!”
I can't believe the bitch! After what she did. She has no business calling me that. I tried walking past her but she grabbed my arm. I saw Kele looking at her and making her way to us. “Come on Khanyi we still stuck in the past?!” she said that while still holding my arm. “Do we have a problem here?” Kele asked while looking at Keabetswe.
“No. I'm just catching up with an old friend. Right Khanyi?”
I laughed while shaking my head. “We are not friends Keabetswe. You made sure of that.”
“Why can't you let bygones be bygones? I made a mistake I'll admit that but I didn't mean to hurt you.” Keabetswe.
“Kele let's go I don't have time nor the strength for this.”

The drive back to work was sour. Well I was the sour lemon. First it was Zayn now it's Keabetswe. I don't know who I have wronged but I sincerely apologize. Lord please make them disappear amen. “So is anyone going to tell me what was going on at the boutique?” Rendani.
I ignored them and continued being mute. I hope they get the message that I'm not ready to talk about that “issue” just yet. I was no longer hungry so when we got to the office I just went to my cubicle and sat there lost in my thoughts.

*Flashback*
“So mngani I heard you and the new hottie are paired together at accounting.”
“Yeah. Well we weren't really paired together. He was sitting on my seat so I just asked him to move to the next one.” I said to Kea.
As we continued talking, more like Kea talking I saw Zayn making his way to us. “Hey ladies.” he said to us.
“Hi. You must be the new hottie?”
Good Lord! Why can't she just shut her mouth. Who says such things? Me and Portia just looked at her.
“I'm new yes. But as for the ‘hottie’ part I'm not sure.”
“Trust me if I say you hot then you're definitely hot. And I'm not the only one who thinks you hot. Right mngani?” she said while looking at me. “Yeah.” I said that without looking up.
“Khanyi do you mind borrowing me your geography text book I forgot mine at home. Mixed up the timetable.” Zayn.
“Sure no problem.”
He winked at me before he left. I saw Portia using her hand to fan herself. I pushed her a little. “Where did I meet you guys?!”
“Is that a trick question chommie?” Portia asked while looking at me.
I continued writing my English homework. I have no idea how I could forget my homework. Gatsha might be calm and cool but he would hang me with a teaspoon if he got called to school because I didn't do my homework. Mngani I can bet with my dollars that the new hottie over there wa go batla. ( He wants you.)
Portia and I looked at her and rolled our eyes. “Firstly you don't have dollars mngani so your bet is invalid. Secondly, shut up!”
“I never said you should forget to do your homework.”
“Whatever Kea yhoo!”
The bell rang and..
*End of flashback*

I heard someone clearing their throat. Bloody hell it was a client. I smiled apologetically. After work I passed by Burger King and bought myself something to eat. Not ideal since I'm going to gym afterwards but I was hungry. Wouldn't want to find myself fainting. When I got home my dad was in the kitchen cooking. He has been working from home since the accident. He checks in on his businesses when it's necessary. He has not fully recovered, he has back pains sometimes. His doctor did mention that he might suffer from back pains. One day at a time. “Baba unjani?”
“I'm okay nana.”
“What are you cooking?”
“Creamy samp and oxtail.” he said while adding spices to the oxtail.
“Can't wait to taste.” I told him as I poured some orange juice.

I'm driving to the gym but I'm not really excited as I usually am. I was quite surprised to find Jas waiting for me in the parking lot. “Why are you still here?”
“Is it a crime to wait for my girlfriend?”
“I never said that. I'm just shocked to find you here that's all.”
“Okay. Let's go in. Are you ready for our session?”
“Yeah.” I said while we walked up the stairs.
She grabbed my arm and looked at me. I'm definitely going to punch the next person who will be grabbing my arm. “Babe what's wrong? You not your usual self.”
“I'm good Jas. It's probably just exhaustion.”
She literally stood in front of me and blocked me from going up the stairs. This is really childish. This is her workplace she should be professional. Instead she wants to show everyone that we fucking! Okay we have not started on the fucking just yet. “Come on Jas!” I said while trying to push her.
She held my waist tightly and looked me in the eyes. “What's wrong?”
“Nothing. Can we head in now?”
She gently pushed me against the rail and stood in front of me. She cupped my face with her hand and brushed my lips. She moved forward and brought her lips close to my lips. I could smell the peppermint smell in her mouth. She had one of her hand draped around my waist while with the other, she used it to bring my head close to hers and kissed me. She kissed me so gently while the hand that was on my waist went up to my breast and cupped it. At the back of my mind I was praying that no one uses the stairs and finds us. I put my arms around her neck and deepened the kiss! Than she stopped. What the hell! She likes doing this. I have no idea why! “What are you waiting for? Let's go.” Jas said while going up the stairs. I could not believe that she just did that. I shook my head and followed her into the gym.
We did some warm ups and hit the treadmill before we tackled the weights and finishing off at the punching bag. I kept on imagining Keabetswe’s face on the punching bag as I punched it. We didn't do much since I was in my ‘bitch’ mode. After every session we have smoothies or muffins but this time around I did not stick around for that. I needed to get home, take a shower and enjoy my plate of samp and oxtail. I could not give her a goodnight kiss because she had two clients after me.
My phone vibrated on my seat. I only checked the message when I filled my car at the garage.

Really babe! Not even a goodnight kiss.
I don't know what's wrong with you but I hope it's something you can get over. I really hate it when we fight! I even forgot to ask if we still on for our date tomorrow night.
I love you baby. Goodnight. -Jas

I replied.

I will get over it just give me time. We definitely still on for tomorrow night. I'm going to blow your mind away.
I love you too babe. Goodnight. Xoxo

I drove home after sending the message.
