14 Winter Soldier

Soon driving over the bridge, we began making our way to finding the hellicarriers.

I sat in the back with Natasha and the man as Steve and Sam sat upfront.

"HYDRA doesn't like leaks."

I rolled my eyes as Sam smirked and leaned back, "Then why don't you try sticking a cork in it?"

Closing my eyes and tuning out, I felt the familiar sensation again. I opened my eyes and sat up as I placed my hand on Sam's seat, "Sam, you need to drive faster. He's here."

Steve looked at me and raised his brow, "Who's here, Kat?"

"The Winter Soldier."

The moment the words left my mouth, the agent to my left was pulled from the car and soon his life was taken. Natasha caught sight of the man before she crawled into the front finding herself on top of Steve as they dodged incoming bullets.

I growled and stuck my head out the window before climbing onto the roof. From there, he stood right in front of me. I hesitated but only for a moment before we started fighting. I threw punches and received them before the car stopped suddenly, throwing myself and the soldier off of the roof.

Saving myself, I turned but found myself on my back as the soldier turned to land on his feet.

Natasha, Steve, and Sam all looked at us as we stood in front of the car.

I stood tall and waved my hand as I changed into a uniform before I charged at the man. Pulling out two daggers, I swung them as he fought back. He was quite strong but I was stronger.

Tripping us, I fell onto my back as he fell over me, holding my dagger to my neck. I looked up before looking to where his eyes would be, "Please, don't."

Pressing the dagger against my neck, I closed my eyes before he then disappeared only to hold on to the car as it came towards me.

Phasing through the bridge I fell through to the other side and flew back around, watching as the soldier pulled out the steering wheel of the car.

As the car flipped, Steve and Natasha flew out as Sam was stuck in the car. Sending an energy blast his way, he too flew out as I quickly made my way over and caught him before safely grounding him.

Landing back beside Steve, we both looked to see the masked man take a weapon, firing directly at us. Steve was fired back but I grabbed his arm resulting in my own pull with him.

He wrapped his arms around me as we flew over the bridge, "I'm not going to lose you again!"

We landed on a bus and soon found stability before helping the people get out safely. I noticed Natasha running towards us and I met her eye briefly but instantly she knew.

Shooting at the Winter Soldier, he fell back before removing the barrier over his eyes and shooting once more.

The man then jumped down from the bridge and followed her. I turned to Steve who gave me a single nod before I took off. I started running after Natasha as the soldier chased us both.

Running, Natasha tripped and fell. She went to get up again only to fall once more, "Nat! Come on!"

"I- I can't my leg. My foot it's- ughh!"

I grabbed her by her arm and we walked behind a car where I sat her down as I tried to find the soldier again.

As he walked up to us, Natasha handed me her phone and started playing a recording of her speaking. I nodded and cloaked myself, placing it at the tire of another car before returning to Natasha's side.

After waiting, he followed the voice and blew up the car as I jumped into the air landing on his shoulders as I wrapped wire coils around him pulling his arms up.

He fell back into a car as he tried to get me off but I only hung on. Out of nowhere, he grabbed my waist with one arm before he flipped me into the air with his other.

Landing on my feet, I looked up at him, meeting his eyes. The familiar sensation passed over me again as I stood still, held captive in his eyes, "It's- it's impossible."

Unable to move, I was pushed out of the way as the man fell back while his metal arm sparked.

Pulling me with her, Natasha struggled on her foot as I followed her through the crowd, looking back at the soldier.

Falling forward again, I grabbed her waist as she held her shoulder, leaning back against a car.

Someone had shot her.
