Using my strength, I closed my eyes as I felt a surge blow through me before Loki and I mysteriously appeared on the ship at our window just as we turned to see Asgard torn and destroyed.

Loki looked out as he was at a loss for words before he slipped my hand into his as he sighed, "I grew up on Asgard."

"It was your home. You don't ever have to forget it. Besides, as Thor said, Asgard isn't a place. It's a people. And now all your people are safe."

He looked down at me and smiled before nodding, "Thank you for your help and friendship."

"Anytime, Loki."

He turned to me and placed his arms on my shoulders as he gave me a smile before he made a swift move and grabbed my hands as he hesitated for a moment, "We make a good team."

I smiled and nodded as I pulled back, and I met his eyes, "Yeah... I guess we do."

He lifted his hand and moved a strand of hair from my face as I lowered my eyes before he made a quick move and pulled me in, quickly closing the space in between us.

Moving in one motion, the kiss was short as I pulled away, holding a shocked look on my face as I backed away from him, "I- 'll see you later, Loki."

Turning to leave, I went to my given chambers where I stood in the doorway. Lina had her back to me as she sat on the floor, looking out the window. Tears falling down her cheeks, she whistled a short note to which I smiled and whistled back.

She snapped her head as her eyes widened before she jumped up and ran into my arms, "Mom!"

"Love, hey. It's okay. I'm okay."

"I thought I lost you."

I held her close as I ran my hands through her hair, "You won't lose me, Angelina."

She pulled back and smiled as she looked up to me with her tear-stained face before I chuckled, "Go wipe your tears, and then we'll head out to the seating rooms for some food."

Nodding, she left and wiped her tears before I soon left with her at my side. We walked towards the seating room as the people were all seated and eating before I took a seat at the end of a table with Lina beside me.

Val sat across from her, as Thor sat beside her and Bruce across from him. Leaving Loki, sitting on the other side of the table, across from me.

Everyone was laughing and joking around as I sat quietly listening while they all enjoyed each other's company.

After the food had been finished, Lina shot up in her seat as her eyes widened, "Mom!"

"Yes?"

"Can we watch a movie? With everyone. In our room, it's the biggest..."

I looked around the table as they all nodded before I smiled, "Sure. Go ahead, I'll clean up."

Thor let out a sound of joy as Val and Bruce both followed him and Lina out of the room. Standing up myself, I started using my powers to clear the table before I noticed Loki, still seated.

"Aren't you going to go and watch the movie with them?"

"I would much rather prefer to stay here with you."

As I finished clearing the tables, I took Thor's former seat as I turned to Loki, ignoring what had happened before, "Are you doing okay?"

He shifted before nodding slowly, "I'm just not sure about going back to Earth. They're not really my biggest fan. I did try to enslave them."

I sighed and placed my hand on his before I met his eyes, "If you haven't already forgotten, I destroyed countries and cities. I was just as bad as you were and maybe worse."

"Oh, you were definitely worse."

We both let out a laugh before I then spoke again, "You don't have to worry. I was able to gain their trust."

"Yes, but then again, they never knew it was you. You were 'The Ghost' remember?"

Rolling my eyes, I smirked, "Maybe, but it wouldn't matter anyway. Because as long as you behave, no one's going to be looking at you." I stood up from the chair and pushed it in as I gave him a thin look, "So, are you going to come and watch the movie with everyone?"

He smiled and nodded slowly before I started walking away only for his hand to soon wrap around my own. I looked up at him and he smiled at me before I pulled my hand back. He hesitated for a moment before shaking his head as we made our way to my room, soon taking seats as we watch the movie with everyone else.

Sitting on the couch, I pulled Lina into my side as she wrapped her arms around my waist before turning back to the movie.

About halfway through, I got up and left the room to check on the people before soon returning only to find the movie no longer playing and the group running around and laughing as they chased each other all over the room.

I smirked as I took my seat, watching them all have fun. And that's how it went for a few months as we made our way to Earth.

Until the disruption.
