36 Finding Bucky

Bucky nodded and pointed, "You're Steve and you're Katerina. I read about both of you in a museum."

I bit my lip as my eyes began to water before I stepped behind Steve, "I know you're nervous. And you have plenty of reason to be. But you're lying."

"They've set the perimeter."

I looked up and groaned, "Copied."

Standing straight, I looked over Steve's shoulder and met his eye, "Why does the news say you were in Vienna."

"I wasn't in Vienna," he let out a deep breath and then glanced between us, "I don't do that anymore."

"They're entering the building."

Steve took a step forward, "Well, the people who think you did are coming here now. And they're not planning on taking you alive."

Bucky smirked and then shook his head, "That's smart. Good strategy."

"They're on the roof. I'm compromised."

He threw a punch at Steve as I then used my powers to hold him back, "This doesn't have to end in a fight, Bucky."

"It always ends in a fight."

"5 seconds."

Steve looked up at him as he stood up while I held him back, "You pulled us from the river. Why?"

"I- I don't know."

"3 seconds!"

"Yes, you do."

"Breach! Breach! Breach!"

I groaned and put my foot down as I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, we got it, Sam."

A grenade then flew through the window. Bucky looked around before he kicked it towards us as Steve gave me a look before he quickly held his shield over it as it exploded.

Shots were being fired as I held up an energy wall that caught the bullets heading for me and Steve before they then fall to the ground. I looked over to see Bucky shielding himself with a mattress before he ran out the door taking out policemen as he charged by.

I groaned and followed behind as Steve followed me.

I flipped over a group as I sent an energy wave, knocking them over before Steve pulled the rug out from under another group.

Looking around the corner, Bucky slammed a policeman into the wall as Steve caught up to me as he leaned over the railing before standing beside him, "Buck, stop! You're gonna kill someone."

He looked back at me and then knocked Steve down, "I'm not going to kill anyone."

Knocking Steve onto his back, Bucky punched at the ground just a few inches from Steve's head and then pulled a backpack from the floorboards before he threw it out the window.

Steve then held up his shield as more gunfire went their way before getting up.

I jumped from stair to stair as I pushed cops back. I kept my eye on the guys as I quickly ran down after them. We then spotted a guy speaking Romanian over his radio.

Steve grabbed the radio and crushed it before he jumped down a level as Bucky kept punching cops. I walked down behind them as I then used my powers to catch a man Bucky threw over the railing.

Steve sighed and then looked at him, "Come on, man."

I brought the cop over the railing before I dropped him as I jumped over the railing after the boys. I used my magic to keep me floating as I slowly descended down while they ran.

I then stopped and landed over a railing as Bucky ran through one of the halls before jumping off the balcony. I turned to see Steve trying to get his shield out of the wall as I helped before I dropped to my rhythmic feet and ran after him as I waited at the edge.

Steve then ran up beside me as I noticed another attacker in black wrestle Bucky.

"Sam, southwest rooftop."

"Who the hell's the other guy?"

"I don't know," he then turned to me, "What are you still doing here? Go help him."

"Oh, right."

I jumped down onto the next roof using my powers to soften my fall before I ran, ramming into the cat-like person.

The man in black then ran at me only to jump over me as he pushed Bucky back down. He pulled out claws as Bucky grabbed his wrists.

I groaned and rolled my eyes as I kicked the man back.

He threw a punch at me as I grabbed his arms, turning to Bucky, "They're after you! Get out of here. Go!"

He nodded and grabbed his bag, running as I fought the unknown man. Throwing punches, he kicked me back into a giant air filter as he ran after Bucky.

"Steve, he's heading your way."

"Copied."

I held my head back before I stood up and taking off in a run again.
