47 Trash Land

Holding on to each other tightly, we fell from the sky as we soon landed on a pile of garbage causing a cloud of dust to erupt as I coughed, standing up.

"Thor?"

I looked down at him before we both looked up as an enormous metal piece came falling down. Thinking quickly, I used my powers to catch it just before it crushed us as I then threw it into the nearby water.

Helping him up, Thor and I ran up a dune to get away from the shower of debris from other objects. Once we reached the top, I turned to him and let out a heavy breath, "Where is Lina? Hell. Where is Loki? What happened? Who was that?"

"That was our eldest sister, Hela. Goddess of Death. And no, I don't know where they are. I was with you, remember?"

I nodded and then sighed, "Okay. But where are we?"

We both looked out over the land of trash and then peered up to see a sky full of portals leading elsewhere. Just over a mountain in the distance, was the biggest portal out of the others. I raised my brow at the trash land before we turned around towards a loud noise that took our attention.

There was strange alien-like music playing as I took a slight step behind Thor. He glanced at me and before we knew it we were surrounded by strange creatures.

They looked at us and soon one of the creatures removed his mask, revealing a human-like mortal, "Are you a fighter? Or are you food?"

Thor furrowed his brows and shook his head, "We're just passing through."

"It is food. On your knees. Both of you."

I looked up at Thor as he reached out his hand for his hammer, "Thor, I don't think-"

I was cut off as the group began to cock their guns and weapons. Thor grabbed the first guy and threw him into the nearby water, while a second guy walked up and tore off his cape as I held out my arms and strangled a few in the back.

He was throwing punches as I was punching back others. Only before we knew it, they shot a net over us, knocking us down as it electrocuted us.

Many more stragglers started running up as they hit us with sticks and logs.

I groaned and growled as I took hit after hit all while being shocked.

"Th- Thor. Do s- something!"

"I- I'm trying! You're the-the one with p- powers!"

I rolled my eyes and tried to use my magic only to be knocked back into the ground harder.

Within moments, they all stopped as another ship landed, deploying a ramp from the door while pop music played in the background. I looked over to see a girl walk down as she finished a bottle of alcohol before tossing it to the side, "They're mine."

She strutted down the ramp before walking off the side and falling into a pile of trash. I raised my brow but the hunters began to hit us once more.

"Wait! ... Wait." They stopped again and watched as she stood up, "They're mine. So if you want them, you go through me."

"But we've already got 'em."

There was a murmur of agreement before she rolled her eyes, "All right, then. I guess I go through you."

"More food."

They all cocked their weapons as I helped Thor up. We stood under the net watching as she hit her fists together, trying to spark something as they all approached her.

The girl clenched her fists and we heard a horrible screeching noise as her ship began shooting. I grabbed Thor again and shoved us to the ground as everyone around us began falling from being shot.

Banging her fists again, I looked around as Thor was fixated on the girl approaching. One final hunter charged at her with a bat as she casually grabbed him and hurled him up into the air behind her.

Thor helped me up before looking at her, "Thank you."

Without a swift movement, she flicked two glowing disks from her belt that flew towards me and Thor. One lodging itself into his neck as the other simply slipped off my arm.

She held up a device and pressed the button as Thor then let out a groan of pain as he fell to the ground, stunned.

She then turned to me and cocked her head, "Now, why didn't it stick to you?"

"I wouldn't know."

"Are you going to attack me?"

I crossed my arms and stood up straight, "That depends, are you going to hurt us?"

"No."

"Then, no."

She walked past me and grabbed Thor by his cape, dragging him before I lifted my arm and levitated him through the air. "Where do you want him?"

"The ship."

I nodded and followed her as I then dropped Thor against the glass as I leaned against her chair while she took a seat.

"So what's your name?"

I looked up as the ship took off, "Katerina. You?"

"Just call me S142."

"Really? You want me to call you that?"

She crushed another can before scoffing, "What do you want to call me?"

I rolled my eyes and sighed looking around, "Never mind. S142 it is."

"M'kay. Now I really do apologize."

I turned around confused before she threw a punch at me, knocking me back. I fell off the platform and hit the glass like Thor, only my back took the impact as I looked up at her, groaning before passing out.

Then I opened my eyes.
