41 Airport Rendezvous

Once we were all ready, the rest waited as Steve and I jogged out through the underpass before Tony and Rhodey showed up in their suits.

"Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport. Don't you think that's weird?"

"Definitely weird."

I looked at Steve as he sighed and turned to Tony, "Hear me out, Tony. That doctor, the psychiatrist, he's behind all of this."

Before any more could be said, the former man in black leaped over our heads and appeared on a truck, "Captain. Katerina."

"Your highness."

"Anyway, Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you in. That was 24 hours ago. Can you help a brother out?"

I shook my head at Tony and groaned, "You're after the wrong guy."

"Your judgment is askew. Your old war buddy killed innocent people yesterday. And don't even think about forgetting what you did just a few hours ago."

I clenched my fists as I pointed off into the distance, "I'm sorry about that, Tony. But right now, there are five more super soldiers just like him. We can't let the doctor find them first, Tony. I can't."

Natasha then walked out and sighed, "Steve, Kat, you know what's about to happen. Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?"

"Wait, Nat, where's Lina?"

"She's with Wanda and Vision."

I looked at Steve knowing we had Wanda before we turned to Tony, "All right, I've run out of patience. Underoos!"

Tony shouted as a red-suited figure appeared and took Steve's shield before binding our hands, "Nice job, kid."

"Thanks. Well, I could've stuck the landing a little better. It's just the new suit- well, it's nothing, Mr. Stark. It's- it's perfect. Thank you."

"Yeah, we don't really need to start a conversation."

"Okay. Cap- Captain and Phan- Phantom. Big fan, I- 'm Spider-Man."

I cocked my head and raised my brow, "What did you just call me?"

"Uh... Phantom?"

"Why?"

"Isn't that your hero- your hero name?"

Tony then let out a breath before stepping forward, "Yeah, we'll talk about it later. Just-"

"Hey everyone."

"Good job."

I shared a looked with Steve before I melted the substance around my hands. I walked over to Steve as he spoke to Tony, "You've been busy."

"And you two have been complete idiots. Dragging in Clint. 'Rescuing' Wanda from a place she doesn't even want to leave, a safe place. I'm trying to keep- I'm trying to keep you from tearing the Avengers apart. I'm trying to keep her safe-"

I shot my eyes up and scoffed, stepping in front of Steve, "You were keeping her locked up! In your eyes, she's a danger to you! You don't fully trust her!"

"You know what, Eriksen! You're right! I don't trust her. She was with HYDRA-"

"I WAS WITH HYDRA!"

I shouted as he backed up seeing my powers emerge before I looked around and took a deep breath in, "I was with HYDRA and you trusted me. No one chooses to be with HYDRA."

"She did. Her, and her brother."

"Yeah, after your weapons killed her family. Destroyed her home. You never trusted me, did you?"
