Turning up to the lab, we arrived only to see Bruce and Tony working on the Cradle.

"I'm gonna say this once."

"How about 'nonce'?"

I stepped in front of the twins and met Tony's eyes, "Shut it down!"

"Nope, not gonna happen."

"You don't know what you're doing."

"And you do? She's not in your head?"

I looked at Bruce and gave him a look, "She can't get in my head."

"Really, are you sure about that? Did she tell you that?"

Wanda then placed her arm on my shoulder as she looked at him, "I know you're angry."

"Oh, we're way past that. I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade."

I looked over my shoulder at Steve who groaned and tried to stop them, "Banner, after everything that's happened-"

"That's nothing compared to what's coming!"

Wanda walked up to Tony and shook her head, "You don't know what's in there!"

"Tony, this isn't a game-" "The creature-"

As Wanda and Steve tried to convince Tony, Pietro used his speed and ran in place in front of me as everyone else froze.

"I wonder, how you are able to see me?"

I cocked my head before I waved my hand, "Just shut it down."

He nodded and then sped around as he destroyed the lab equipment and turned it all off. I sat back amused as I then watched him stop as everyone moved again while he crossed his arms, "No, no. Go on. You were saying?"

A bullet then appeared in front of him as the glass Pietro was standing on shattered, Pietro falling through. I stood up as Wanda stood on the edge, "Pietro!"

We both looked down to see Clint standing over the boy, "What? You didn't see that coming?"

I gave Wanda a comforting look as I shook my head, "Grow up, Clint."

"I'm rerouting the upload."

Steve threw his shield as it bounced every which way before Tony made the hand of his suit appear, blasting the shield.

Tony started turning things back on whilst he fought Steve.

Wanda held her hands out before her as she tried to help Steve before Bruce grabbed her from behind, "Go ahead, piss me off."

A fight broke out as I stood back and threw energy arrows at Tony while he dodged them as he fought Steve. Tony, getting agitated with me and shot a blast my way as I held up a barrier before moving.

Wanda fended off Bruce as I helped Steve push Tony back against a wall.

While I dodged and blocked blasts from Tony, Thor then entered and hit the Cradle with his hammer, sending a powerful bolt of lightning through it.

"Wait!"

We all froze as the glass of the Cradle broke. A new body then entered the lab as he launched himself at Thor, who threw him at a lab window, but the entity caught himself right before hitting the window in the lounge.

In JARVIS' voice, we all gathered around him as he spoke with a robotic, British accent, "I'm sorry, that was... odd," He turned to Thor and nodded before he landed in front of us, "Thank you."

"Thor, you helped create this?"

As Steve spoke, the new addition summoned some coverage over his red exterior. Thor nodded and turned to us, "I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at its center is that."

He pointed to the gem inside the man's head.

"What, the gem?"

"It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones, the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities."

I shook my head and looked up, confused, "Then why would you bring it to-"

"Because Stark is right."

We all looked at each other as Bruce sighed, "Oh, it's definitely the end times."

"The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron."

"Not alone."

The new man spoke as I listened before Steve glanced at me and turned to Tony, "Why does your 'vision' sound like JARVIS?"

"We, well, we reconfigured JARVIS' matrix to create something new."

"I think I've had my fill of new."

"You think I'm a child of Ultron?"

I looked the entity up and down before furrowing my brows, "You're not?"

"I'm not Ultron. I'm not JARVIS. I am... I am..."

Wanda shook her head as Pietro grabbed her arm, "I looked in your head and saw annihilation."

"Look again."

Clint scoffed and shook his head, "Yeah. Her seal of approval means jack to me."

I cocked my head at him over my shoulder as I gave him a smile, "And what about mine?"

He picked up his hand and gave me a so-so sign as I rolled my eyes before turning to Thor again, "Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind Stone, and they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. Your powers..." he turned to the twins before turning around and looking at me, "And your powers. They come from that stone. But with it on our side-"

"Is it? Are you? On our side?" Steve asked.

Again JARVIS' voice spoke, "I don't think it's that simple."

"Well, it better get real simple real soon," Clint said as it turned back to us.

"I am on the side of life. Ultron isn't, he will end it all."

"What's he waiting for?"

"You."

Bruce stepped forward as I yawned before Steve elbowed me and gave me a look, "What?"

He sighed and smirked as Bruce spoke, "Where?"

"Sokovia. He's got Nat there too," looking from Clint, Bruce turned to the robot and held his arm up, "If we're wrong about you if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be-"

"What will you do? I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique, and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the earth, so he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net, we have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go."

He walked around and met each of our eyes. Glancing at me more than once he then tilted his head, "You have no idea how special you are."

I took a step back as he chuckled, "You didn't mean to. The accident was truly an accident. At least on your behalf."

"What do you mean?"

"You were simply not yourself. HYRDA had gotten to you after the Asgardians. The Asgardians simply wanted you back because of the abilities you possessed. HYRDA abused your powers and mind. You are not to blame."

A solemn smile then played across my lips as Steve then nodded and placed his hand on my shoulder as I looked back to him, "What are we to call you?"

The scarlet, red man looked around for a moment before he smiled, "My name is Vision. For I was once simply a vision."

I nodded before he floated around the room once more as he then stopped in front of me for a moment before grabbing Thor's hammer and handing it to me, "They can trust you."

I held it up as everyone stared in silence. Making a curt nod, I stood up straight, tossing it to Thor before I turned following Vision out, letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
