Thirty-Second Chapter : Her Death
"Glad you both are here now, help them down there. This is getting out of control," Hange-san said as she fought with the Marleyan soldiers. Both Jean and I nodded and used our ODM gear to go down.
We saw Connie and the others assisting Levi.
Mikasa was near Eren as he fought with Reiner. As much as I wanted to be there too, I knew Levi and the others needed my help more.
"We'll be riding an airship later, but first, brace yourself for this fight." I nodded.
"How's the situation?" I immediately asked when I successfully landed beside Levi above the roof.
Right after he defeated his opponent, he instantly faced me and shot me a look as if I was so ridiculous that I was here, fighting with them. It confused me.
"Why?"
Levi scoffed. "Why the fuck are you here?!"
I sarcastically smiled at him. "Well, I can't just stay rotten at my fucking room as everyone are risking they motherfuckig lives, can I?"
He scoffed again as he used sliced someone's face and then looked back at me again.
"You should, after starving yourself for days, stupid. Go back there and let us handle the situation here." He declared, sounding adamant. I scoffed too. He knows me, and I know that he already knew that I wasn't gonna listen to him.
"I already ate two trays full of foods and that's more than enough,"
After telling those to him, I used my ODM gear to reach a target that caught my eyes a few seconds ago. As I successfully killed the man who was wearing a uniform that's obviously not from Paradis, guilt rushed inside my system.
I kill Titans who were technically humans because they kill their own kind just because of bloodlust and of hopes of them, returning to being a human again but killing these Marleyans who wished for peace too? It sucks.
But do they really think they're achieving peace by treating us devils? By punishing other Eldians, and making them Titans? By making Eldian Titans eat their own kind?
They want peace but I hate the kind of peace that they want.
However, what and what ifs entered my mind. What if other warriors from Marley were just being forced to obey?
Focus, Y/N. They're forced to obey but they kill Eldians anyway. There is nothing that can change that.
My eyes caught five Marleyans pointing a gun at me. The fat one fired without any hesitation and unfortunatelt hit my left leg. I hissed in pain.
"Fuck!"
"Stupid!" There goes Levi's remarks as he went towards those Marleyans by his gear and took their lives without any evident hesitations too. I wonder how he does that? Or was he just really good at hiding everything?
He's been in pain for the past years. All his life, pain has always been his greatest enemy.
But he just won't let anyone see his tears, hear his cries, and watch his breakdown. No one.
