Twenty-Second Chapter : Together, But Not Forever
Weeks came passing by and the routine went on. Me, taking care of Historia, cooking for her, giving her what she needs.
The thing was, my squad lookes like they really hate Historia to the core.
And the other thing was, I would often see Eren coming out from the palace when dawn comes.
My relationship with Eren was still like that, we would warm the bed, I would tell him how much i love him, and he would always ask if I have already eaten or . . . if Historia told me something.
They were all weird.
Everyone and everything was weird.
But maybe it's just me who's seeing things like that. Maybe Eren's just visiting Historia because he cares, maybe my friends act like that towards Historia because they hold a little grudge against each other.
Or was it my stupidity, not realizing everything that's happening around me?
Pft, that's impossible.
"Hey love, how was your day?" I asked Eren. I just got back here from Historia's place and it was already nighttime.
He looked at me as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Still the same." Same?
I just nodded my head and smiled, though it was pretty obvious that something was bothering him, I chose not to involve myself. Maybe it'll just add more to his problem.
So instead of giving him a headache, I just reached for his lips and kissed it with so much affection inside me.
No matter what happens, he will always be my rest.
That kiss lead to another and we found ourselves moaning under our breath on the bed. We still weren't naked though, it was new thing for me 'cause Eren would always remove my shirt first.
Maybe he's trying somethin' new?
Everyone was surely asleep now and we chose not to bother them with our on sex voices.
He was makin' me insane with his professional lips that always felt new everytime it lands on my skin. I was sure I would never get tired with it nor will I get used to it.
He's the only one who could make me feel like this and I treasure him the most.
After all, he's the one I love.
I was about to remove his shirt when he stopped my hands as if I was doing something wrong.
He held it with both his veiny hands and he kisses it as he closed his eyes.
I panicked when I saw a tear left his eye. Worry rushed through my system as I did not know what to do.
"E-Eren, what did I do?!" With widened eyes, I asked him in a panicked voice.
With that, he held my face as another tear escaped his eyes. He was wearing a small smile and he opened his mouth to speak.
"We can be together. But sorry love, because we can't last forever."
