"Rainstar! Rainstar! Rainstar! Rainstar!" The StarClan cats cheered for her, giving Rainfur her new name. Rainstar. I am a true leader now. She stood up straight, and relished the moment. I will always remember this moment. She purred.
"Thank you. We shall meet again. For now, I should return back to my Clan." Rainstar dipped her head to all the StarClan cats around her.
"Yes, we will meet again." Rain Fall's eyes glimmered. "Farewell, until the next time we meet."
Rainstar found herself laying beside Cloudheart next to the Moonpool again. "That was... amazing." She purred.
"Let's return. RainClan will be waiting for us now." Cloudheart dipped her head to Rainstar. She's treating me like a leader now too. She realised.

"Rainstar! Rainstar!" The Clan cheered as Rainstar and Cloudheart returned into the territory of RainClan.
"Rainstar." Willowheart and Featherhawk purred, and dipped their heads to Rainstar.
Rainstar purred. "So serious now aren't you!" Willowheart purred too. Featherhawk's eyes glittered with amusement.
"You'd better choose the deputy, the Clan is waiting." Featherhawk told Rainstar. Of course! "And Dawnstar's vigil."
"Of course!" Rainstar almost forgot. "LET ALL CATS OLD ENOUGH TO CATCH THEIR OWN PREY GATHER BENEATH THE HIGHROCK FOR A CLAN MEETING!" Rainstar jumped onto the Hightrock. It felt so weird saying the sentence, she was too used to another cat saying it.
Her Clan gathered around the rock, their eyes locked onto Rainstar's. Feeling confident now, Rainstar continued. "I'm sure we are all mourning for Dawnstar's death, I am too. But we must continue on, with a new deputy!" Rainstar paused. I've been thinking about this for a while... and who I think would be best... is Willowheart. She saw Brambleheart, Willowheart, Featherhawk, Amberfur, all the cats she loved and knew staring at her eagerly. "I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of RainClan will be Willowheart!" Rainstar's voice echoed in the camp.
She saw her best friend's eyes light up. "Thank you. I will be pleased to be the new deputy of RainClan!"
"Willowheart! Willowheart! Willowheart! Willowheart!" The Clan cheered. None of them protested. This day is going perfectly. Rainstar purred. "We are not done yet! Now it is time to bury Dawnstar and finally sit vigil for her. Let's begin." She ended, and jumped down the Highrock.

"She was a great leader for all of us. She led the Clan well during our darkest times. I wish she is well in StarClan." Shadeclaw murmured. She is well in StarClan. Rainstar purred. The last time she had met Dawnstar, she had been young and beautiful like before.
"She had a great sense of responsibility and knew when to take action with battles or gatherings. She spoke well for all of RainClan." Flowerpetal sighed. Rainstar had heard stories that Flowerpetal was not actually from RainClan. She was from ShadowClan. I wonder if that's true.
"She was a great leader who sacrificed herself in battles. She saved me once from a RiverClan warrior, and I really appreciate her for that." Petalfall meowed solemnly.
It was finally Rainstar's turn. "She was an amazing leader to me, when I was tired, she would comfort me and praise me on how well I was doing. During leafbare, she went to hunt out alone with her own risk of losing a life to bring more prey to RainClan. She was a great leader." Rainstar finished. Moonkit and Sunkit, who was about to be apprenticed, now looked at Rainstar with their cute wide eyes. My kits. I've missed you!

The sun slowly came up as Rainstar and the rest of the Clan still sat vigil. "It's time. The vigil is done." Rainstar announced as it turned to dawn. "Everyone get some sleep, and our new day will begin soon." Purring, Rainstar looked at her kits. "You too."
"Can we sleep with you now?" They asked.
"Until you become an apprentice." Rainstar purred, and led them to the leader's den. They quickly fell asleep with Rainstar's warmth, and she stood outside of the den, looking at the view of her Clan. Her muzzle raised up high, she vowed to StarClan. No matter what happens, I will try not to let anything bad happen to this Clan and lead them through the toughest, darkest, nights.
