"Rainfur! StarClan honors your honesty and your excellent hunting skills!" Froststar continued, fixing her gaze on Rainfur's. Wow, I'm a warrior!

Featherhawk and Rainfur exchanged an excited glance and rested one by one on their leaders shoulder, licked her shoulder respectfully, and stepped back.

"Featherhawk! Rainfur! Featherhawk! Rainfur!" The Clan cheered their names, Lightnose and Streamfur gave them a warm look, and chanted along with the Clan. Rainfur held her head high, relishing this moment. I've dreamed of this for so long! Happiness surged through Rainfur, she had more energy now, feeling like she could run through the forest.

"Rainfur, Featherhawk, remember you two need to sit vigil tonight. Tomorrow is the gathering too. You two should prepare for it." Rainfur's former mentor padded up to the new warriors and reminded them.

"We know," Featherhawk flicked her tail dismissively. Yeah, we know! Rainfur nodded to Froststar.

"Good." Froststar twitched her ears.

"I'm so happy we're warriors now!" Rainfur turned to look at Featherhawk.

"Yeah! Me too!" Her sister meowed, eyes shining.

"Rainfur! Rainfur!" Willowpaw pounded up to Rainfur. "You're a warrior!"

"I am now!" Rainfur purred. And you're still an apprentice! I'm going to go find Bramblepaw and have a word with him about... us later. Rainfur thought, a little embarrassed.

"Which means..." Featherhawk continued mischievously, eyes glowing, "we get to order you around now!" She finished triumphantly.

"No way! You've only just been made a warrior!" Willowpaw protested.

"Yeah, but we still are!" Rainfur added. And being a warrior is great! Except for the prophecy...

"You're not ordering me around!" Willowpaw held her head high.

"Anyways, we ought to go now." Rainfur glanced at the sky, it was turning dusk, and she still wanted to meet Bramblepaw. Just go! I need to talk to him!

"Do we?" Featherhawk looked surprised at her sister. Well, I do! Rainfur wanted to yowl but kept it inside her.

"Or is it just an excuse for getting away to do something!" Willowpaw challenged Rainfur mischievously. Oh Willowpaw, you're my best friend, but sometimes you're just such a fur ball! You know me too well. Rainfur sighed.

"We're warriors now, remember? We can mostly do what we like." Rainfur finally told Willowpaw.

Willowpaw looked at Rainfur a little more, then turned away. "Fine."

"I'm going to take a nap." Rainfur's sister yawned, "it's been a long day."

"What? How could you even think of sleeping? Today is the best day of my life!" Rainfur stared at her sister in disbelief.

"Well, it is, but I'm tired." Her sister's eyes drooped. I guess it's good for me, because I wouldn't want her to know where I'm going.

"Okay then. But let's find you a net first!" Rainfur conceded, and padded into the warriors den. I'm going to sleep here from now on! Excitement pricked Rainfur.

"Do you see any spare nests?" Rainfur hissed to Featherhawk, raking her gaze into the den.

"Hey Rainfur and Featherhawk! Me and Mouseheart have made two spare nests for you two! Come here!" Honeyfur called from somewhere further in. Oh!

"Let's go." Rainfur nudged Featherhawk.

"Okay." Her sister nodded, dragging herself to the nest.
