Are You Okay?

This case. It was too much. Too hard. None of her officers could figure it out and neither could she. Tears of frustration ran down her face and she swept her arm around her desk causing everything on it to go flying.

Outside of the office, all the officers looked at the door. The loud yell of frustration caused them to look away and get back to work. All but one. Mako kept glancing at their door while he dialed the number of the Chief's wife. Kya.

Kya: "Hello?"

Mako: "Uh.. hey this is Kya right?"

Kya: "Yep that's me. Who's asking?"

Mako: "It's Mako. Um the chief is.. uh... destroying her office I think. I don't know but it's a lot of yelling and things smashing." The sound of books falling made him jump then glass broke. "Yep she's destroying her office."

Kya: "Say no more. I'm on the way." Kya hung up but not before she heard the things breaking in the background. The water bender quickly finished what she was doing and made her way to the Police Station. Many of the officers seemed on edge and she finally understood why. Pieces of glass had slid from under the Chief's door and there were sobs coming from inside. "Well what the fuck happened?"

Mako: "There's a case none of us can figure out. It had something to do with kids and when we get a case like that, Chief doesn't give up until it's solved. This one was particularly bad resulting to this." The sound of a table flipping startled them all.

Kya: "She's going to hurt herself if she continues." Kya walked to the office and opened the door. "Lin. Fucking. Beifong." The office was a mess and there was glass and papers everywhere. The desk of bend in half, thrown against the wall and the book shelf was slashed in half. "Good grief."

Lin: "Go home Kya." Her face was red and her breathing was ragged.

Kya: "I'm not leaving unless you're leaving with me." What sounded like a grunt came from Lin and Kya crossed her arms. "Get up."

Lin: "Get out."

Kya: "I will drag out of here my damn self if I have to." The water bending master started to make her way over to her wife, making sure not to step on any glass. "Get up." Lin didn't say anything and Kya kneeled down in front of her, carefully picking her up. The metal bender started to squirm around trying to get out of her grip. Soon she starting pushing and punching Kya not realizing what she was doing. "Ow! Lin quit it!" Kya had to find the Chief's pressure point before she did some real damage to her and herself. The older woman squeezed down on the part where the neck and shoulder connect and Lin's body went limp. "Good grief."

Mako held the door open for them as Kya carried her wife to her car. "I'll have Saikhan put a week off on Lin's schedule." The fire bender said. Lin was placed in the backseat and Kya hopped in the front seat after making sure she wasn't going to fall.

Kya: "Thank you Mako. I'll send over a cleaner for the office." Mako nodded.

*At Home*

By now, Kya had gotten Lin's armor off and woken her up. The water bender had healed the Chief's hands which were bruised, and her head which was throbbing. The married couple just cuddled for a while in silence before Lin started to cry again, the stress seemingly coming back. Kya just let her as she ran fingers through the metal benders hair.

Soon those cries turned into sobs, very violent sobs and she hid her face in her hands. Kya carefully removed her hands and wiped the tears. A gentle kiss was placed on Lin's forehead and she hid her face in her wife's neck, trying to control her breathing. The feeling became too overbearing and Lin passed out in her wife's arms again. It was going to be a long night. Lin was definitely going to need a vacation.

Big Family Dinner Gone Wrong

Everyone was sitting around the dinner table at Suyin's estate. All the beifongs, all of the water tribe folks, Mako, Bolin, Asami, the air bender family (Bumi, Kya, Pema included), the fire lords (Iroh II as well) and of course, The Avatar herself.

Lin and Kya were sitting next to each other, the water bender's hand in between the Chief's thighs. No one noticed it so they continued. Lin had learned to keep a straight face in all her years of working as Chief of Police but they forgot one single thing. Toph was there.

Toph could sense metal on her eldest daughter's body but it was so small. Maybe earrings or a necklace but it was smaller than that. Nor was it on that section of her body. It was lower like near the chest and lower region. The OG Beifong still couldn't figure it out and she bent the metal in her direction. Lin jerked forward in pain and everyone turned to her in concern. Everyone but Toph.

Kya: "Are you okay?"

Lin: "Mhm just fine." Toph released it and Lin finally relaxed. "Just a cramp in my side." Everyone nodded and went back to their conversations. Lin glared at her mother before removing Kya's hand from between her legs and walking away. Kya soon followed after cleaning her hands.

Kya: "What happened?"

Lin: "Mom bent my... you know... piercings."

Kya: "Ohhhh. Oh. OH! Damn. Are you okay?"

Lin: "Pretty sure my chest and... are red but other than that, I'm fine." The water bender smirked and dragged Lin to the bathroom. "Kya what the hell are you doing?" The metal bender asked as Kya locked the door.

Kya: "Want me to soothe it or not?" Lin smirked as well. We all know what happened next.
