Little Space (Kyalin)

CG/L= Caregiver/Little also known as age regression. Honestly no one talks about this and I feel it needs to be talked about. Littles are basically people who slip into this headspace where they feel and think they are younger than they really are. Some can even feel like their an infant again. Although some don't know how this is triggered, they have people that can help them work through it. Caregivers are people who take care of them as if they were an actual child often known as 'Mommies' or 'Daddies' So I'm going to write this one-shot to show you how it works. Also i'll be doing different POVs in this one. Enjoy.

The ages: Lin is 22 [still pretty small for her age. not many muscles yet so it's easy for kya to carry her around in this one-shot] (about 10-12 months old- 2 years old in her little age) and Kya is 26. There's no age gap between Tenzin and Pema.

*Third Person POV*

There was a gala and Lin was determined not to fuck it up. For her and her girlfriend. There were many tables, at most eight people seated at each one. Kya was next to Lin, Tenzin next to Pema, Bumi next to Izumi, and Su next to Bataar. Everyone was engaged in a conversation but the Chief of Police felt herself slipping away. Kya noticed and tried to subtly keep her out of it but it was hard when Tenzin kept talking, oblivious to what was going on.

Lin barely felt the hand on her back before she shook her head, shaking herself out of the daze. She heard Kya's voice excusing them from the Gala and the water bender waited until they were outside to pick up her girlfriend, suddenly glad she wore a suit and not a dress unlike Lin.

They made it home and Lin was fully out of it by now.

Kya: "Lin.. Baby come on." Kya helped Lin inside and sat her on the couch. "I need you to tell me what you need, princess." The metal bender looked as if she was trying to slip out of it but it was hard. Kya lifted her up gently and took her to their room. Soon both of them were in a different set of clothing and Kya had her girlfriend laying in her lap. "Blanket?" Lin nodded her head 'yes'. The brown skinned woman got the green blanket from the other side of the bed and wrapped it around Lin. "Juice?" The green eyed woman shook her head 'no'. "Would you like to color?" No again. "Nap?" A yes and a no. "I need you to show me what you need. Or at least tell me."

Lin pointed to the nightstand that had drawers in them. Kya understood immediately and reached inside, searching around until she found what she was looking for. She gave them to Lin who took the items and relaxed even more.

*A Hour Later*

Kya was reading as Lin napped peacefully in her lap, stuffed animal tucked under her arm and pacifier in her mouth. A knock at the door interrupted the peace and Kya tried to get up but Lin was not having it. So she did the next best thing and took the woman with her. The metal bender stayed asleep as Kya tucked her arms under Lin's thighs, keeping her upright. They went to the door and the water bender opened the door to find her baby brother.

Kya: "Hey what's up." The air bender looked at them confused on why Lin was being held as if she was a child. Luckily he didn't see the pacifier.

Tenzin: "You guys left early. I just wanted to make sure Lin was alright. I saw the way she was acting earlier."

Kya: "Oh yeah she's fine. Just didn't get enough sleep last night." A small whine came from Lin and Kya rubbed her back softly. "Was that all you needed? I kind of want to put her back down for her nap."

Tenzin: "Why are you holding Lin like that? She's a grown woman."

Kya: "You're a grown man. You should know how to mind the business that pays you." The water bender snapped back defensively, suddenly protective of her baby.
