— JJ's POV
Thank god today was Saturday. I had to get up super early yesterday for my Comp lecture, and I've been studying really hard lately for midterms. I deserved a lie in. Too bad I feel like complete shit right now. Oww. I groaned in pain as I felt a wave of discomfort radiate across my abdomen.

Emily perked her head up, "Babe?" I groaned again. "JJ? Are you okay?"

"No. What time is it?"

"9:30. What's wrong?"

"I don't know... Can you get me a glass of water?"

"Sure." Emily placed a kiss on my cheek and then threw the covers off herself to climb out of bed. She returned 30 seconds later with a glass of water and an answer to what was wrong with me. "Um, JJ?"

"Hmm?" I was lying on my side with my back to her.

"Either something's really wrong or you got your period."

"Huh!?" I flipped over and saw a red stain on Emily's sheets. I blushed with embarrassment and sat up, "Emily I-I'm so sorry, I... I'll help you get the stain out I promise! Please don't be mad, I-I guess it came early 'cause I wasn't-I wasn't..."

She smiled, "Hey hey, it's okay. It happens."

"But it'll probably bleach your sheets!"

"Shh it's all right, babe." She set the glass down on her night stand and held her hands out to me, "Come with me, I have a change of clothes for you."

"You do?"

"Mmhmm, come on." I gingerly crawled out of bed and followed Emily into the bathroom. She knelt down on the floor and opened up a cabinet filled with period products.

"So what'll it be? There's pads, tampons, liners, overnights..."

"Emily I-I can't take Tara's period stuff. I'll feel terrible."

"This isn't Tara's."

"It's not? But you... you don't get periods?"

"I bought all these just in case something like this happens. Or if you're ever over here and you need to change whatever you have. I didn't know what you used though so I just got a box of everything." That made my heart burst with admiration.

I smiled at her, "You might be the sweetest person I've ever met."

She blushed, "Well I do what I can." I leaned up and kissed the corner of her mouth. She stepped outside for a quick second and came back holding a handful of clothes that she must've bought just for me because they weren't her style. "Let me know if any of those don't fit and you need something of mine."

"Can't I have something of yours anyway? Pwease?"

She chuckled, "I should've expected that. Whatdya want?"

"That green sweatshirt? The vintage one?"

"Hmm."

I begged her, "Pleaseeee, Emmy?"

"Ugh all right fine. I can't say no to you." I giggled in amusement as Emily relented and handed me my favorite sweatshirt of hers. I loved sharing her clothes because everything smelled like her-- like a mixture of roses and cherry merlot. Once I was changed, Emily opened up their medicine cabinet and scoured it for Ibuprofen. They found a bottle and handed me some meds, helping to relieve the pain from my cramps. I trudged back out to the main room and crawled back into Emily's bed as they got dressed.

"Are you leaving, Em?"

"Just for a second. I'm gonna grab us something to eat. Any requests?" They tied their shoes and shuffled together everything they needed to go out.
