My body felt heavy... Like a thick warm blanket was cradling me in my sleep. It felt nice and I couldn't help but melt into the soft warmth...soft? Now it's heavy, warm, and soft?

Opening my tired eyes I could see the forest through the entrance of a dark tunnel...no, not a tunnel, a cave? I was in a cave? I didn't understand...why am I in a cave.

Suddenly the warm blanket that encompassed me moved as if it was breathing. Then I remembered... It's not a blanket.

I gasped and tried to pull away from the beast, earning a threatening growl in my ear. I squeaked and the creature pulled me closer hiding its face in the crook of my neck, with its hot breath fanning across my exposed skin.

How...how did this happen?! Why was I trapped inside this cave with a giant monster when I should be at home in bed! Why did it bring me here? Why didn't it kill me?!

Questions raced through my mind and I knew I would probably not get the answers anytime soon. Taking a shaky breath I tried to focus and figure out what to do. How do I get out of this situation?!

Looking more closely at the wolf creature's face I could see his fangs poking out, a sight that I found most disturbing. But the most important thing was that the creature's eyes were closed...

It was still asleep. Sighing I thanked whatever gods there may be that I was at least alive still.

I carefully tried moving my arms out from underneath the creature's body. I managed to slip my arms free but the rest of my body was still trapped.

One of its arms was wrapped around my lower back while the other rested on the cave floor above my head. I stilled as the creature huffed and let out a small whine.

Once I was sure it wasn't going to suddenly wake up and attack me, I moved again. I needed to get out from under the creature. Putting my hand on its chest I attempted to push it up so I could hopefully slip out but to no avail, the thing weighed a ton and the angle I was at didn't help.

Moving my hand I tried to push against its shoulder, luckily that seemed to work a bit because I was able to move some of my upper half out but my legs and torso were still trapped. I put my hand on the creature's side to push and ended up touching one of its injuries from the bear fight.

The wolf-beast let a whine/growl and stirred, removing its hand from my back and pushing itself up.

"Oh no..." I quickly rolled out from underneath as it got up and shook its head. So much for escaping without waking it!

I ran out of the cave entrance and could hear the creature snarl as it noticed me running.

I screamed as it landed beside me and snatched me up with one of its arms, holding me against its chest. I squirm to get free and push away but stopped when it growled down directly at me.

I stayed still, as my heart hammered against my chest. Its growling died down and it started to take me back to the cave.

Why was it not attacking me?...

Taking a deep breath this time I put all my strength into resisting. I pushed against the creature causing it to stop as I squirmed out of its hold. I even ended up pushing against its injury again earning a well-deserved snarl as it dropped me.

I quickly scrambled to my feet to run again but it grabbed me around the waist with a threatening growl.

"Let me go!"

The growling suddenly stopped and I was dropped on the floor again as it stepped back and was no longer hovering over me.

Startled, I turned over to look at the creature. It was standing there watching me... I carefully got to my feet and it seemed to follow my action, rising nearly to its full height... But it was hunched over slightly.

Looking at its side I could see its bloodied fur with deep claw marks, and I looked at my hands to see fresh blood. It was still injured.

I stared at it for a moment confused, it wasn't attacking me... Looking at the forest behind the creature seemed to upset it, as it gave me another threatening growl. My eyes met its eyes and I could see it was glaring at me. It didn't want me to run?...

I stood there for a moment thinking about what I should do... We were at a standstill.

Looking back at the cave entrance I knew it was just a dead-end but what choice did I have?

Its growling completely receded as I took a few steps towards the cave. It waited until I was a few feet away before stepping closer. So that's as far as it would let me go...

Gulping I decided to test my luck and run off to the side. To my dismay, he was quick to react and snarled again before leaping after me. I used a tree to avoid him and he knocked his shoulder into it but continued to chase. I didn't get far before I was tackled to the ground. It brought its face close to mine with a warning bark before grabbing the back of my shirt with its teeth and lifted me up.

"Stop!" I struggled to pull my shirt free as it stood on all fours trying to lift me up. I could hear the slightest tear as my shirt started to rip.

I was not letting it drag me back to the cave like this! I started kicking and tried to push it away, this only seemed to upset them more. They dropped me roughly on the ground when my shirt started to tear and hovered over me with his ears pinned back and his canines showing.

I turned my head away and squeaked when he brought his face close to mine and growled. I waited for him to pull away before looking back up again. This time he was rougher when he lifted me off the ground, and quick to take me back inside the cave.

It dropped me on the floor near the back of the cave and barked in my ear as if threatening me to try and run again. I whimpered as it hovered over me with its maw so close to my neck I knew it could easily kill me with a single bite. Keeping my head down and eyes closed I waited for its next move.

The growing seemed to stop as it started to sniff me. I could feel its cold wet nose go from behind my ear, down my neck, then back before rising up to my right shoulder.

With my shirt now torn, it was just loosely on and my shoulder was exposed. I held back another squeak as it started to lick the area I had been bitten.

Why was it doing this?...

Glancing at the beast I could see the bite mark on my shoulder didn't look as bad as it did yesterday...maybe it wasn't as. Deep as I thought?

Once it finished its nose then poked the side of my cheek and I turned my head away. I blushed and nearly pushed its face away from me when I felt it drag its tongue across the side of my neck.

Once it was satisfied again it pulled away and looked down at me. My gaze met the creatures and I suddenly felt a strange sensation within my stomach.

It watched me for a moment longer before going to the front of the cave and laying down with its back facing me. I stared at the beast in a bit of shock.

This thing wasn't some mindless beast...
