Coming back to the hole the female was hiding in, I found that she was gone... I frantically searched the area, and quickly caught onto her scent. I was not gone long, so she shouldn't be far. A short distance away from the den I found myself in bear territory.

My fur stood up on edge as I caught the fresh scent of whatever grizzly was living in this area, and the female was close by as well. I pushed forward and caught a glimpse of a stream. Both scents became stronger and I snarled at the sight before me as a full-grown Ursa lunged at the female who was cowering on the ground.

My teeth sank into the side of its neck as it was knocked over from the impact. I released it as it quickly got up swiping at me with its claws. Pain cut across my shoulder as another snarl come from my chest and I lunged for its throat once again. Bloodshed ensued as claws and teeth tore through flesh and fur. However, I was quick to finish the fight leaving the bear as nothing more than a heap of meat. I glared angrily at my kill for the deep marks it had left on me.

A sound from behind me had my head snapping in its direction and I could see the little human looking at me terrified... A growl of irritation escaped as she got up to ran. Leaping forward I grabbed the frightened female and ran towards the den I had found. One she would be staying in.

As we got to the cave I released her and watched as she scrambled inside. The scent of her blood was faint but it continued to bother me, just knowing she was injured. I moved closer to the small female, and she froze still, in fear as I inspected the wound. To my satisfaction, she turned away bareing her neck to me in submission... A deep rumble came from my chest in response and I took it upon myself to clean her wound thoroughly.

The taste of her skin drove me nearly wild as my tongue moved across the bite wound. Taking my time I made sure the injury would not get infected and proceeded to taste the skin of her neck with long, meaningful strokes...

Small whimpers escaped her own lips and cleared away the tears from her face before looking down at her, she was still frightened and I could see her small body shake... It was now dark out, and with nothing to keep warm, it only made sense she was cold.

Huffing, I pulled her against me wrapping myself around her the best I could, burying my muzzle in the crook of her neck to take on the sweet scent of roses. Closing my eyes I drifted off to sleep while keeping her warm.

My body was sore and the claw marks marring my shoulder and side hurt...they were nothing compared to silver lashes but it still made me uncomfortable... I had hardly left the female alone for more than a few hours... I expected her to stay hidden in the den where it was safe but she didn't!

She wandered off into a bear's territory and nearly got hurt... I thought she would have understood to stay in the small hole where it was safe... Not only did she nearly get eaten, she has attempted to run away from the cave I found...i have no idea as to why... it's safe... it's warm, there are no other scents in the area to suggest there are predators...so it must be me...

The little human is scared of me...
