Seraphina~

After hours of sitting in the shack both me and Damien became alert to the sound of metal clanking and keys rattling outside as the doors lock was removed.

I sat up and glanced at Damien beside me as he stood up. He merely nodded and stared ahead at the door with a low growl coming from his throat.

The door opened to reveal renard and a few of his men behind him with weapons drawn.

Moving closer to Damien as he growled at the men before us, i held onto his fur, glaring at Renard.

"Well, I guess it's true you really are attached to my pet..."

"He's not your pet!" I angrily stated, standing to my feet. Renard was gauging our relationship up until now he knew little to nothing about me and Damien, he doesn't know how close we are and wants to test the waters... His moves are always calculated and meticulous, he knows how to approach werewolves...he knows their weaknesses and strengths, their, limits and boundaries...if he wanted he could make a normal wolf submit with a few swift movements or even the most patient of wolves run rampid...

This is why renard was such a threat... He knew what he was doing and how to handle certain situations but he's never had to deal with something white like this.

While separate he knows what Damien is capable of and how to handle him, and in the past week, he's also learned my own personal weaknesses and strengths he made me doubt myself, everyone, and everything I knew making me nearly break. But with Damien here, like this it's different, he doesn't know what we are capable of while together so his best option is to observe and test the water.

He watched us closely calculating his next words or his next step...he wasn't a man who would jump into a fighting pit with a lion without a weapon.

"The first time I saw you I was almost convinced you hated these creatures as much as any of us..." He stepped forward towards us earning an angry snarl from the black beast beside me. He hesitated and stopped his approach, eyeing Damien closely, he must not have expected Damien's hostility... Even now he was watching his own actions.

"I was mistaken back then..." I spoke quietly, pulling his immediate attention from Damien... As if taking my quiet voice as an exploitable weakness he talked on...

"Mistaken...no you had every right to be angry after all these creatures took everything from us! We lost our entire clan when they broke loose-" he chuckled while speaking and I nearly snapped when he spewed that nonsense that I had believed before, he acted like he wasn't responsible...

"You mean the wolves 'you' used to destroy the clan..."

He paused and his half smile quickly disappeared, along with his calm and collected demeanor. He didn't expect me to know the truth...

"I know what really happend... You were fed up with the clan's ways, and how they were cooling down and straying away from the old ways of being ruthless hunters... You hated how people were more focused on protecting their livelihood and caring for their families over hunting every last werewolf. You thought the clan had grown weak! So you released the captured wolves in your care and sicked them onto the rest of the clan!

This seemed to strike a nerve as he stood there silently fuming. "how do you know all this..." He spoke quietly.

"You think everyone else are helpless cowards and need to be shown that living in harmony is impossible but we were living in peace just fine until you showed up! You say that the wolves are heartless savages who will kill innocents any chance they get like monsters but how many innocent lives have you sacrificed to prove something that's not true!?"
