After a long day of training...im exhausted... Henry and Damien taught me a lot and even I was impressed by how quickly I picked up on the new skills. despite the two of them telling me to ignore thane's words they still kept ringing in my ears... Maybe I should leave?...

I stopped walking at the thought of leaving...id probably never see henry, amber, luna Kathryn or even alpha Thomas again...not to mention Damien... Both Damien and henry stopped walking as they glanced back at me while I stood there frozen in my thoughts.

Would Damien stay here?...

"Sera?" I looked up at the two of them as they stood there watching me.

"I uh...sorry...i just got lost in my thoughts..."

My gaze moved to the ground and Damien stepped over to me pulling me into a hug. "Why are you sad?"

I flinched at the statement and my mouth felt dry I wanted to tell him...i wanted to ask the question but what should I say? I'm still not sure what I should do...

"Shit..."

Henry's eyes clouded over and his confusion turned to worry as he cursed grabbing my attention as Damien kept a tight hold on me.

Henry shook his head as he panicked and looked around. "Sera you need to get inside the packhouse! We are being attacked by a group of rogues they already broke through the borders!"

I looked at him confused as Henry started taking off his shirt getting ready to shift.

"What?...the pack is being attacked?!" I tried to separate myself from Damien only to roughly be pulled back against him as he towered over me and started to growl.

I looked up at him confused and could see his eyes were now glowing. "Damien?"

His fangs were starting to show and his body was rigid. His grip on me was getting tighter and starting to hurt. "Damien!?" I said his name again to snap him out of it and grab his attention but he wasn't budging. As I glanced down to push away that's when I noticed it... The necklace he wore was now glowing red despite the gem being cracked, I knew It could only mean one thing... The color drained from my face as the idea of him losing control now...here...in the middle of the pack, grounds could be devastating...

"Guys we need to go-"henry stopped as he looked at us seeing my panicked state as I now struggled to push away from Damien.

His claws gripped onto my upper arms and I yelped as his sharp nails dug into my skin, drawing blood. He can't lose control! Not here! Not now! "Damien please let go!"

He squeezed his eyes shut and gritt his teeth, obviously trying to fight against whatever magic was being used.
