Werewolf...hunter....me? But that's...

Damien growled before looking up at miss Kathryn. "She is not one of them..."

She only sighed in response before looking back at me. "You said you were orphaned and raised in a small village...no doubt you had no idea you had the blood of a hunter in your veins...tell me, have you ever noticed things quicker than others...have faster healing?

I thought back to all the times before...when me and Damien had been attacked I sensed the wolves before him...and at the lake, it was as if I could feel Thomas approach long before anyone else... Not to mention my smaller injuries and scratches always healed in the matter of a couple of days... Am I really a werewolf hunter?...

"enough!" Moving me off his lap he stood up, growling louder. "We are done... No more speaking of this!"

I grabbed his arm to calm him down. he needed to relax, I needed to get the answers I've always wanted...and these people...or werewolves had those answers.

He looked at me and the angry scowl on his face softened.

Kathryn hesitated before speaking again. "As you might have already guessed... Your silver eyes made us believe you were a hunter, here to infiltrate our pack... We had no choice but to lock you up downstairs until we could figure out what to do..."

"I understand that... I'm sorry for not telling you all what really happened to us...if I did then this all could have been avoided... Just as you were skeptical of me I didn't quite trust any of you...i was afraid if someone found out about Damien..." My voice trailed off as he lowered his head, and kneeled in front of me holding my hand, and taking me by surprise when he reached out to touch my cheek.

"You, all that matters...." His words came out strained as if he wasn't sure what to say, but I could still understand what he meant... He just wanted me to be safe...my biggest question was why...why has he been protecting me all this time when im like the enemy.

"You are both free to stay here...if that is what you wish...we'd like to make up for all the trouble..."

Looking back to Kathryn I smiled and nodded my head. "Thank you..."

Damien huffed before standing back up. Only then did I realize he wasn't covered...at all...

My face flushed as I squealed and threw the blanket towards him. "Why are you naked!" He didn't even budge when I shoved the blanket towards him he looked at me confused and held it in front of him.

Kathryn chuckled before signaling to one of the younger boys outside of the room.

"Clothes get it way!..." He argued like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"You can't be around a couple of girls while bare naked!" I looked at him sternly.

He only scoffed in response and snatched the pair of shorts from the young boy who brought them in. He grumbled irritated before dropping the blanket and putting the shorts on. I shrieked before covering my face to look away. "Damien!"

Gods this was so embarrassing...i was even sitting in his lap! Kathryn grabbed our attention with clear humor in her voice at the situation. "So tell me...how did you two even meet?"

Looking up after Damien dressed I opened my mouth to speak but Damien cut me off.

"Saved her..."

Wait... What... I furrowed my brows looking at him in disbelief... That's it? That's what he thought he did? He thought he was saving me when he stole me away from my village and took me into the forest, refusing to let me leave or go home?!

"You didn't save me!" I stood up as my anger started to rise. He looked at me confused as I pointed at him.

"You kidnapped me then took me into the forest!"

He growled back as I raised my voice. "I saved...you mine..."

I couldn't believe this... "I'm not an object or something that you can own!" At this remark, he started to snarl, and uncrossed his arms.

Kathryn looked a bit concerned as she stood from her seat as well... "No Seraphina... I don't think that's what he meant..."

He stepped forward towering over me as he grits his teeth and spoke. "You are mine!"

Any other time I might've backed off, but right now I was too angry...after all the crap he put me through... I wasn't something he could own! I'm my own person!

I shoved his chest to push him back which only made him take a step back. "I'm not yours!" His eyes started glowing and I could see he was fuming now.

He grabbed my arm harshly pulling me towards him, and I struggled to push away. "You are my mate!" He growled out.

There was that word again...mate...i don't understand what he meant by it but it doesn't matter, he has no claim over me!

"Let go of me!"

"Please just calm down! Sera I think you're mistaken by what he means..."

"No! I'm not putting up with this anymore!" I pulled away from Damien just as Thomas, Henry, and Keith walked in.

"What is going on here?" Thomas spoke up. I glared at Damien as he stepped forward aggressively.

"Stay away from me you brute!" I yelled squeezing my eyes shut as my heart banged against my ribcage. Every fiber of my body was telling me to get away from him...i felt so much animosity towards him at that moment, I couldn't keep my mouth shut...as if something was taking over me... "You're a monster! And you're insain if you think im going to act like I belong to you! After everything you've put me through?!"

Damien stopped for a moment seeming conflicted...it was hard to read his expression but by the way, he stiffened from my words I knew what I said had hurt him.

"Sera..." Kathryn tried to step over towards me but I shook my head before running upstairs to my room.

Multiple voices called out for me but not a single one was Damien's... My chest ached as I slammed the door before locking myself inside...

The last thing I heard was an angry snarl from downstairs as Damien left the house and ran off into the forest.

My heart ached with a phantom pain while my mind reeled in all the terrible things Damien did...and the terrible thing he was... A splitting headache started to overwhelm me as I fell to my knees. What was happening to me?...

The room started to spin as I tried to get a hold of myself before I knew it however, I passed out on the floor.

(Hey guys me again how are you all  enjoying this so far, but be honest am I dragging it out too much or do you all like the pace?
