Your POV

Sero and I both turned our heads to who the person's voice belongs to. I held a nervous expression on my face while Sero held an annoyed blank expression on his face.

"Can we help you?" The black haired male spoke.

"You really think you're so funny do you? Especially influencing Y/n into passing notes!" The aggravated boy raised his voice at Sero.

He rolled his eyes unphased.

Monoma then turned his eyes towards me and says, "You! How could be so naive and let this idiot influence you!?"

"I-I.." I tried to speak but Sero gently placed his hand on my shoulder and gave me a reassuring smile that he will take care of this. I nodded and sar quietly.

He stands up and sighed as he said, "Listen two face, don't go insulting Y/n when your were snitching on her over a piece of paper just now. Everyone is sick of your shit so just shut up and get over it already."

"Daaaaaammmnnn!" Denki echoed throughout the whole classroom making all the students laugh.

Monoma huffs and goes back to his desk as everyone continues to mock him.

Wasn't that a bit much?

"U-uhm.. Sero?" I called his name.

He turns his head and hums in response, asking me what is it.

"Wasn't that.. a-a bit much?" I said, "With Monoma."

"Nah with a guy like him, he's gonna be picking the wrong fight one day." He waves it off, "Trust me, if he'll start something that he won't be able to finish so this is a life lesson for him not to get into everyone's business when it's not needed."

"W-well, didn't we just passed a note.. technically breaking s-school's rules?" I asked in a concerned tone.

"One note won't kill the world, Y/n. There are times when rules don't really matter and we have to do what we can to get through life. Like if you parents kept you inside for so long and they say it's against the rules to go out, and deep down, you would want to go and know what it's like to experience something that you've never done before just to feel alive and free." He technically gave me a speech which he wasn't technically wrong either.

"Y-Yeah.. I guess I-I see your point." I nod in understanding, "Thank you, Sero."

"Anytime kiddo." He ruffles my hair with a chuckle as I slightly blushed from the attention he's giving me.

Time skip

Class ended with our teacher and counselor speaking to Monoma at the front office. We didn't have a substitute so there was no homework nor any assignments given to us to work on for the day. Although I do feel a little bad that I got Monoma into trouble with our teacher, I felt the need that Sero was right. Even if we live by some rules to survive there are some that can be broken for an unfulfilled destiny. Even it was just a piece of paper. We all can learn a thing or two for survival in school and the adult world where man face everything.

I walked down the hallway, passing by a few students as I was making my way towards my locker. Normally, Mina would walk with me, but she suddenly had the flu during PE and the coach thought it was from the heat and not being hydrated enough. Momo suddenly had an uncontrollable set of allergies and Jirou skips class to go outside of school for lunch. So, it was just going to be me for today and honestly I feel a little nauseous from the overwhelming feeling that I was gonna be on my own.

Everyone had their group of friends to talk to or a significant other to be with so they wouldn't be alone. A lot of people know me, but that's only because of my father's fame and reputation. They see me as a walking golden statue who's too good for them and deep into my religion to have everything else as my second priority. But that's not true. My first priority are my friends. I know family is usually the motto that people would use, but not me. I love my mom, but I know she would want me to be happy by making my own decisions.
