chapter seventy seven

Both Adena and Arsene started leaving the Great Hall, together. The girl hadn't even noticed Regulus also getting up. Once outside the Hall, he quickly caught up with the pair and Adena finally noticed his presence.

"Good morning, we have class together again, did you see?"

"Of course. Make sure I don't distract you too much this time," he said with a smirk and she pushed him away in annoyed manner.

"Don't start bothering me now."

"I thought I wasn't a bother."

"Exactly, so don't start."

"Adena, who's that?" asked Arsane who was behind her, a bit confused about what was happening.

"Oh, yes! This is Regulus Black, the Slytherin I wanted to introduce you."

"Good morning Regulus, my name's Arsene Dubois," said the small boy, politely as he held out his hand for Regulus to shake.

The raven-haired male looked up at Adena who had a small grin on her face as she watched the encounter. Regulus ended up shaking Arsene's hand as he gave him a greeting nod.

They started walking to lead Arsene to his first class of the day, the Slytherin following quietly.

"You know, that Slytherin is my boyfriend."

"Really? I didn't know you had a lover Adena!" exclaimed excitedly the blonde boy, even his eyes were shining brightly at her words.

"Yes... but it's better if you don't mention Regulus to your mum. Aunt Bethany wouldn't be very happy to know that..." she muttered glancing up at Regulus.

"Okay, no worries!"

"You still like Quidditch right? Regulus and his team won the Quidditch cup last year, you know!"

"No way! That's amazing, please teach me!" said the joyful voice of Arsene as he looked up at Regulus, who had a surprised expression on his face.

"What... position are you interest in?"

"Seeker! It's the best for small and thin boys like me! And I can go super fast!" He was now displaying a proud grin.

"Regulus happens to be the best seeker of this school!"

"Wow! I'm so happy!"

She laughed as his delighted expression. He hadn't changed at all in the end.

Adena was now back to her usual routine. Classes were still as boring except when she had Regulus to entertain her, which was happening in most of the classes. Obviously, she still loved as much the Astronomy lessons and was seriously thinking of working in this field, not that she wanted to work so soon, but since she was passionate, it would be the least boring job.

By the third week of school, she was already writing some words to her sister. She would honestly tell her how strange it felt without her in the school, and how she felt nostalgic about her first years at Hogwarts and obviously asked how studies were going. The brunette really hoped her sister would feel at ease in this field and that it would make her grow. The girl didn't dare mentioning Arsene, she would rather talk about him when seeing her again. She surely wanted her to meet their cousin again since it has been so long for her as well.

The studious and model student Adena was back. She would still stay outside in the park during free periods and free afternoons, but not without her books and quill. She would obviously get some snarling comments from her friends especially Jacob and Eugenia.

"Don't you have anything else to do seriously? We have a whole weekend to work on this essay," groaned Jacob.

"I'd rather do it now so my weekend will be free."
