Adena was happy to be back on her routine with Regulus. She had missed him so much in the past days. She was now on better terms with her sister as well. Candace acted like she had forgotten everything but Adena did not. Sometimes she would be a little harsh with her, the anger still present. Their relationship was better though, and it felt good for both.

A few days had passed, and Adena felt really excited when she woke up that Saturday. It was obviously not for the same reasons as half of the school which was the Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. That Saturday was also the day of Regulus' seventeenth birthday.

She didn't wait for the girls to go down and have breakfast. She had brought with her the pendant with the gemstone which was in a beautiful package. Upon arriving in the Great Hall, she looked to the Slytherin table, checking if he were there or not. The Great Hall wasn't too full. Mostly the houses playing and some students from other houses as well. When Adena spotted her boyfriend, she smiled and made her way towards him.

"Isn't that your girl, Black?" asked Barty Crouch who was sitting by his side. The raven-haired male looked up, his bored expression, suddenly lit up in surprise when he noticed her coming his way.

When arriving, she sat down by his other side, one of her arms circling his waist.

"Happy birthday Regulus," she whispered then pecked his cheek which made his skin turned a light pink since there were some of his housemates around them. Some guys like Barty Crouch and Austin Wilkes chuckled upon seeing this which earned them a glare. Adena just ignored them.

"Thank you," he finally whispered back, not being able to hide the fond look in his eyes as he gazed at her delightful expression.

"He's so whipped," muttered Austin Wilkes, laughing, who was sitting in front of him. Regulus sighed while turning towards him, he tried to calm himself, looking completely unbothered.

"Don't be jealous I have a pretty girlfriend because you're engaged to Vivien Parkinson."

Wilkes only grunted in response, returning to his plate of scrambled eggs. Adena blushed a little at his sudden words. She didn't really know much about Vivien Parkinson except that she was a Slytherin seventh year as well as one of the most hideous girls in the whole school and that she bullied first years. The girl kind of felt bad for the older boy.

"You don't mind if I stay here? I wanna give you your present right after breakfast," said the brunette as she started grabbing a scone before putting jam on it. She didn't notice some glares coming from other Slytherins who didn't like having someone foreign of their house at the table.

"You have a present for me?" asked the boy as he returned to his breakfast.

"Of course, dummy. You're my boyfriend and you also got me a present for my birthday."

"Yes right, I think that's normal. Hm, do you want some tea?" he said that, and his hand was already on the teapot.

"Yeah thank you."

They continued eating and left before the room was completely full in order to not be bothered by the other students' loud noises.

"So, what did you get me?" asked the raven-haired boy, curiously.

"I can't tell you!"

"You could also give me the same kiss as the other day, that would be very appreciable."

Adena blushed a little as she remembered the heated kiss and she lightly hit his arm.

"Stop teasing me..."

Regulus laughed before saying, "I was serious!"

"Wait, for real? You'd like a similar kiss?" as she said that, she looked up at him, actually waiting for his answer.

"I wouldn't say no if you're okay with this," murmured the boy, looking back at his girlfriend.

"Okay as your wish! But first." She didn't finish and handed him the small package as they were still walking.

He opened it then got the silver pendant out which was attached to the black gemstone. His eyes scrutinized the jewel for a moment, reading the note attached to it.

"So? I'm sorry if you don't like it, I'm not good at picking presents..."

"No, no, it's totally fine Adena. I really like it. Thank you," he said sincerely looking at her.

"Really? You don't say that to be nice?"

"You think I'd lie to you? I'd never. Now put it on please." And he turned around. She placed the pendant on, then move his hair up a little, unveiling his light skin. She was at the right height to place a kiss on his neck, making him shiver. He turned again, his hands going to her hips to bring her close. Adena giggled a little as he did, and he smiled.

"Do you want a kiss now?" she asked with a grin.

"Yes, please," whispered the boy, looking deep into her eyes.

Her arms went around his neck as she stood on her tiptoes. Regulus circled her waist with his own arms to bring her close. Right after that, Adena's lips met his in a sweet kiss. She loved the sensation of it and so she shyly started moving her lips onto his. He responded to her soft movements with a smile. He loved the taste of her lips. It made him want to devour her. But he would rather follow her slow pace. She was always so sweet to him; he could melt in her arms. The brunette dared discover more of him as she deepened the kiss. She wasn't sure of her actions, but everything felt right with Regulus, she just let her instincts guide her. With each movement of her lips, she poured more love into the kiss; the heat and the ardor reflecting the burning passion inhabiting her. She just wanted to make him feel her love for him. She could do that forever. And he felt that and loved that.

She finally let go of him with a sigh. Her face, like it would often do, went to nuzzle in the warmth of his neck. The young Ravenclaw waited for her breath to come back to normal, the movements of his hands rubbing her back were soothing her. When she felt like talking again, she whispered:

"I love you Regulus, I hope you're happy."

"That's the best birthday ever. Thanks for sharing it with me and making me happy today and on any other day."

His words were very touching. She sometimes wondered if their relationship was like any teenagers' relationship. Regulus was such a unique person, she had never met any other boy like him, and he had never seen someone like her neither. They both felt many unsaid feelings and shared many common emotions. And surprisingly the amount of love they had for each other was so immense that it was impossible to hide; not for them, nor for the others. To Adena, their relationship was not like some stupid teenage love from what she heard about. They were different, she didn't know how nor why. They got to love each other so quickly and so dearly. Maybe it was some stupid thought for a teen, but at the moment she felt like she could never love anyone like she loved him.

'I love you. I love you so much Regulus I love you. I love you so much.' "Regulus I love you," even as she said that, she felt like repeating it a million times would never be enough to express how she felt about him. "You know that I love you, right?" she whispered again.

"Yeah, I do..." he whispered back, smiling a little, and she felt reassured because he knew. Regulus knew, and obviously he was happy, but he was happy she managed to be open about her feelings. He knew how she used to have a hard time opening up, but he could feel her be enough at ease to do so. And he truly felt delighted she could finally.
